Mediumship and Beyond

If you are hearing voices, and what the voices are telling you makes sense, then it is likely you are clairaudient.  The voices most often are subjective, which means the voices seem to be inside the head, rather than outside as in normal conversation.  Though there are those physical mediums who hear it objectively.

Often the spiritual guide is the voice you will hear, but also you can often hear the voices of other spirits, even loved ones.

My advice is for you to sit in a development circle to help develop your gift and to enable the voices to become clearer.  You can use the circle to communicate with your guide and ask them for their help.  It is often a two way communication and sometimes a three way communication.

Clairvoyants often hear as well as see, but there are a lot of mediums who just hear.  These are the clairaudients.  The gift is a great one to have as you can sometimes have real conversations with spirits, but not being able to see spirit when you are giving a message is a very different way of working.

We cannot choose our spiritual gifts but we can choose to make the most of them by developing to the highest standard you possibly can.  I wish you luck and offer my guidance and assistance as usual.

There are a few things you need to be aware of if you set out to work on the spiritual pathway. Here are a few I think it important to impart.

The Ego
The ego is something that should be left behind whilst working with spirit. All too often, a big ego spoils what was potentially a great gift. It can soon become ‘Aren’t I good?’ and sadly, all mention of not being able to give messages without spirit’s help, can be forgotten.

It is easy to become self-obsessed when sitters are singing your praises, but you should never forget where the communication actually comes from. To be humble, compassionate and caring, is far better than being egotistical. Your development will fare better for it.

One’s Own Mind
It can be very hard at first to differentiate between the thoughts in your head and the messages being put into your mind by spirits. You will soon be able to figure it out. You will know when it is something that you have put into your mind and not spirit. To make sure and to reassure yourself, ask for a sign from your guide. This can be a signal that you will always recognise as being them. It can be a touch of the head or face, a particular sensation, or something else. You can decide what it is to be, then you can ask your guide or Guardian Angel to repeat the signal every time you ask.

If in doubt, you can use my method: say to spirit that you have understood the message, but need to know if it is really from spirit, and not from your own mind. Wait for the signal before carrying on. If you do not get the correct signal, do not give the communication.

Not Everything in Your Head is a Message
It is dangerous to start to believe that everything going through your mind is a message from the spirit world. It is not spirit if it is something you have been thinking of, it is probably just your own mind. If you have tuned in to spirit whilst opening up your psychic centres and asked for communication, then it may be a message. “Test all things”, should be your motto. You are seeking the truth, so you do not want to be deluded.

Some novices, assume that everything going through their mind is a spiritual message, it is not. It would be mind boggling if it were. You would have trouble sorting it all out. Also, it would interfere with your material life, and it is for this purpose (living a material life) that we are here on the earth plane, to live our life and learn our lessons.

Prove all things, and, as the saying goes, “Test ye the Spirit.” Take nothing for granted and always work with humility.  I leave you in the safe hands of your Spirit Guide.  May you spend many happy and wonderful hours communicating with them and proving life after death to seekers of truth.

On frequenting Spiritualist churches, you may be forgiven for thinking that all guides are Native Americans, or monks and nuns or Sisters of Mercy.   You may find yourself asking why the American Indians White Feather and Red Cloud can possibly be the guides of so many mediums at the same time, and why even Sitting Bull is appearing at lots of circles simultaneously.

Whilst some of these very spiritual beings may often be present at such events, there is, occasionally, a deluded person who makes the claim of having such venerable guides, because they think it  will impress others.

It is of course possible, that the person is aware of such a similar spirit and thinks that it will be  good to put a name to them, therefore making them misguided rather than deluded. Queen Victoria and Cleopatra are others whose names are bandied around, most often without any proof at all.

You must learn to seek proof in all things and take nothing at face value.  Use your own intelligence to figure it out.

It makes obvious sense that spiritual souls will want to come and help us with our  spiritual growth, but those souls who led ordinary everyday lives, can and do make very good helpers and guides. They are as spiritual as anyone else.

Whatever we need to learn at certain times during our development and eternal progression, a particular guide will come, with the knowledge we are needing. They will help us all they can to progress.

It may be a spirit who was a road sweeper, nun, typist, actor or musician in this earthly life.  Whichever earthly body or life they inhabited you should welcome them, as they have only our well being in mind.  They will teach us so much about spirituality as well as about everyday life.

Some will bring humour and some serenity.  Some will bring prayer and devotion. Whatever is necessary for us to have guidance with at that particular time in our life. Spirit know what it is we need guidance with and we are humbled when they come to call.

Enjoy them and cherish their devotion to you.

If you wish others to know about your good deeds,

they are not truly good deeds.

If you fear others will find out about your bad deeds,

those are truly bad deeds.

Generosity is the most

natural outward expression

of an inner attitude

of compassion and

loving-kindness.

When a loved one has passed over to the spirit world, I know all you want to do is feel them, and hold them, and talk to them just as before.  It is no longer possible to feel their physical presence or see their physical body but it is still possible to communicate with them albeit through another person.

You may be able to learn to do this yourself with practice, or you may find out that you can do it already.  If not, then you can still get communication from them via a good medium.  You can do this by going to see one privately, on the recommendation of a trusted friend or relative.  Otherwise, you could go along to a meeting at a spiritualist church or hall where a medium is demonstrating clairvoyance.

If you plump for the private consultation, then you are more likely to get a longer reading.  This reading may or may not include a message from your recently ‘lost’ loved one.  Sometimes when loved ones first pass over they are unable to communicate.  It may take them a while to adjust to their new circumstances before they are ready to get in touch.

If it is not possible for the recently passed over loved to communicate themselves, they may pass communication to you via another spirit personality.  It all depends how much evolved the spirit was before it’s earthly existence.  Some already know how to communicate and therefore they get in touch pretty quickly.  If they had no experience, they will have to learn, much the same as we have to learn here.  Therefore, you may have to wait a while.

When you go for a consult, it is no good asking for just the one person to come through, as you cannot call up any spirit.  You have to ask for communication and then wait and see who comes through.  In my experience, it is best not to get into any conversation with the medium before your reading.  Wait until afterwards to ask any questions and before divulging any information.

Any medium worth their salt would not ask you any questions.  It would get in the way.  A medium has to keep a clear head and so anything you talk about is a hindrance.  Just say yes, no, or, I do not know what you mean, in answer to anything the medium says.  It is best for all three of you, you, the medium, and the spirit entity in the long run.

If you choose not to go for the private reading then you could go along to a meeting and the medium may come to you and pass on the communication from spirit.  Again, do not feed the medium, just keep your responses short and to the point as I have suggested above.

I am not suggesting that you live in the past, nor that you replace the living with the dead, Neither do I suggest that you don’t move on with your life.  What I am suggesting, is that you come to a realisation that we are all spirit and that as spirit we can all communicate with each other, albeit in a different way than on the earth plain.

We all are SPIRIT and came here to this earthly life, from our home in the Spirit World, to learn the lessons that only human life could teach us, in order to facilitate our eternal evolution.  When our lessons are learned and our time is up, we go back home. However long or however short the earthly time.  We have no say in that.

Remember, there is no beginning and no end to communication, or to life.  Life is everlasting.

Do not try to become anything.

Do not make yourself into anything.

Do not be a meditator.

Do not become enlightened.

When you sit, let it be.

What you walk, let it be.

Grasp at nothing.

Resist nothing.

If you haven’t wept deeply, you haven’t begun to meditate

If you can keep your head,

I like to explain things simply, without going into extreme detail.  This is how I go about my blogs. There is far too much hokus pokus written and done in the name of psychics and mediums. Why not use simple language so that everyone understands.

As a graphologist, I am often asked to explain what Graphology is and how I do it. So here follows a simple explanation for a serious and clever subject.

Graphology is simply hand writing analysis.  Finding out about the writer through the study of their hand writing sample.

Think of your writing as body language. Every little movement of your pen tells a little bit about you and your body. Every dot, dash and flourish tell a little more about you.

Put it all together and you have the person, not just the writer. Ambitions, ailments, your roots and your quirks,  all show up in your writing.

It is a fascinating subject, though more scientific than psychic. It has nothing to do with mediumship or spirit. It is based purely on the human being.
