There are lots of interesting alternative therapies available now, throughout the world. I prefer to refer to them as additional therapies, or complementary, as I believe we still need our doctors and surgeons, as well as all the other medics who assist us with our well being.

Nothing, in my humble opinion, can replace the conventional treatments our health service offers, but there are many therapies that can assist our recovery from illness and our well being as a whole.

Reiki (ray key) means universal life force.  The treatment is hands on, and is meant to assist the body to heal itself.

During a treatment, the Reiki energy flows through the body helping to re-balance and attune it.  It is a holistic therapy which treats the whole; this includes mind and body, emotions, and general well being.

Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing. And anyone can use it. In fact, anyone can learn to do it.  The method is simple and easy to learn - the student receives attunements from other practitioners and Reiki Masters and is able to pass on attunements to other students.

The theory being,  the more attunements a student receives from other practitioners and masters, the better they will become at giving Reiki treatments.

As usual, I advise looking to governing bodies to find a good practitioner as the system is not perfect, and you can lose a lot of money needlessly.

Ask around friends and relatives, for recommendations of good therapists. Again, my advice is don’t pay out more than you can afford, for anything.

I am proud to say I am a Reiki Master and offer therapy in my local area. Please email me for more information on this. There is an email link at the top of this page.

Well, what promised to be a lovely and interesting weekend was spoiled for me. I was ill and my lovely hubby had to come and bring me home on Saturday.  I am already much better though.

The weekend mediums workshop started very well. I was able to find out about the things I needed to know and enjoy the company of lovely like minded people.

The tutor, Mavis Pittilla, has always been my inspiration, as she was this time. Second only to the late Gordon Higginson, in my opinion. I was privileged to be there.

The weekend started off with demonstrations. I had wonderful survival evidence from my late sister. Robert, who gave me the evidence, was very unassuming and there was no ego involved. He has the makings of a wonderful medium.

Saturday morning found some of us giving private readings to other mediums on the course. This was very interesting until migraine got the better of me. I ended up in bed awaiting my husbands arrival, to take me home.

I will be going back in a months time and hopefully will finish the weekend. Then I will have more to report.  Everyone was very kind and helpful to me. I thank them all and send them loving prayers.

Today I am off for the weekend to a mediums workshop event.  It will be spent with a group of kindred spirits. Some I will know and some will become new friends.

These events are always a delight. A medium is never too developed to learn more and advance the gifts they have been given. What a great opportunity! What will I learn this time?  You know I will share it with you when I get back.

Although my blog will remain unchanged until Monday, there is plenty of help in the pages I have already published.  Just use the search facility to help you find the topic you are looking for.

Emails from my course students will be answered by me on Monday. I look forward to hearing from you as usual.  If you are in the UK please enjoy the lovely weather we are having.

We often talk about moral values

View all problems as challenges.

Look upon negativities that arise as opportunities to learn and to grow.

Don’t run from them, condemn yourself, or bury your burden in saintly silence.

You have a problem? Great.

More grist for the mill. Rejoice, dive in, and investigate.

For those of you who are following my psychic development course and have reached number 16, please take note.  I trust you are all doing well.

Those who are experiencing any problems with it so far, may send me an email so that I can offer advice. You need to be ready before proceeding any further into it.

I will be emailing the next few chapters to you. So, you must let me have your email address so that I can put it on my group mailing list. I don’t want you to miss out at all.

Remember to enjoy it all. It should give you pleasure, not grief. I look forward to hearing from you.

We could become quite satisfied with ourselves because we are sitting in meditation and are endeavoring to practice the spiritual path.

Such satisfaction with ourselves is not the same as contentment. Contentment is necessary, self-satisfaction is detrimental.

To be content has to include knowing we are in the right place at the right time to facilitate our own growth. But to be self-satisfied means that we no longer realize the need for growth.

All these aspects are important parts of our commitment and makes us into one whole being with a one-pointed direction.

We all have a sixth sense, and I firmly believe that all of us have the ability to develop our sixth sense.  This would allow us to use our psychic ability.  It does take time and effort, but it is very rewarding when you have mastered a technique that suits you.  Not all techniques are for all of us.  Trial and error will help you find the right one for you.

Most of us mere mortals are just aware of the five physical senses and are surprised to find that there are others.  The sixth sense is a natural gift which seems to have become stifled in most of us as we have ‘evolved’.  Learning to awaken this sense is a natural thing to do.  It is not supernatural.

There are Spiritualist churches all over the world now, and there are lots of opportunities to learn how to become psychically aware, and to be able to practise your new found gift when you are ready for the public domain.  You do not have to be a church goer, or take on a new religion. You can go to development groups and classes almost anywhere now. In a church and also privately. There are also books which aid the seekers of psychic awareness.

If you are not ready to try developing it for yourself, then you might like to try a psychic event at a hall or church nearby. There are always plenty on offer, although some are quite pricey. You can also host your very own psychic evening. More information on this in other posts here on my blog.

I feel a mixture of home study and home circle, plus church visits to see how mediums work.  You can get both good and bad examples there though, so you need to be discerning.  At least you will have an idea of the way it is demonstrated in public.

You can also go to a recommended medium for a private reading.  This will give you further insight and perhaps some inspiration from spirit.  In the meantime you may like to keep up with my blog as I will be writing about all psychic and mediumistic subjects.

Now, if you have been reading my blog on a regular basis you know how to set up and run your own circle. You may now be ready  to move your circle on a bit and need to know how.

You should be aware by now of how you and your other group members are progressing.  Do you feel that there are signs of any special gifts appearing.  Do any of you seem to be going into trance or do your faces seem to change a little?  Is any one of seeming to progress quicker than the rest?

With these questions in mind, and your answers, you can decide which way to take things.  You can try to put the focus on one group member for a couple of weeks and then, if nothing special seems to happen, try another member.  This way, if any of them is developing a particular gift you will soon find out.

The other thing you can try, either before or after the above, is to experiment with psychometry.  When you have tried psychometry for a couple of weeks you will know who it suits best.  You can then move on to try sand and then ribbons.  This way there is a good chance that you will find a good outlet for each of your group sitters.

There is always one method that suits one person more than the others.  It is great when they find their own thing!  When you have tried and tested the different focal points, colours, psychometry, flowers and sand you can then consider taking it in turns to be the focus of the group.

Ask your sitters if any of them feel inspired to talk during the circle.  Sometimes a sitter will start to develop an interest in philosophy and may feel inspired to talk during the circle.  Let them talk and see what happens.  You may be guided by that person’s guardian angel.

One of you will probably find you are inspired to say the opening and closing prayers.  It may be more than one of you.  In any case, when one of you is inspired in any knew direction you should be given the chance to pracice and improve.

More suggestions later.
