Well, it has to be doesn’t it. You have to really want to help your church and the Spirit World to put in the hours.
A Spiritualist church booking secretary, has to arrange dates with all the mediums who serve their particular church. You begin with an empty diary and a telephone, and hopefully end up with a full diary.
The hard part is matching up the gaps in your diary with the gaps in the mediums diaries. So many of them are really popular and it is hard to pin them down to a date that you both have free.
Apart from filling the diary for 2012, there is also the everyday bookings. We have a psychic fair coming up and a popular psychic supper. So lots of extra mediums need to be booked in. On top of the bookings for next year.
At my own church, Whitham Road in Sheffield, we also have at least one special event every month and regular workshops. So, as you see, it mounts up.
Some mediums don’t answer their phones and some don’t return messages you leave. It all adds to the frustration. But, when it all comes together and your church is running smoothly, it is all worth it.
It doesn’t end there though. When the services or events approach, the mediums have to be contacted again to confirm that they are still attending the service they are booked for. Sometimes through ill health or other reasons, mediums may have to cancel. It is then that the secretary has to start ringing round in earnest, trying to fill a gap at short notice.
At least, being a medium myself means that sometimes I can fill in at short notice. That’s if I am not serving another church, being in another secretary’s diary.
A psychic Supper is when a group of people buy tickets to share a table with a medium and get a psychic message fom them. There are usually 4 or 5 guests and one medium per table.
When each person on every table has had a message, everyone has supper. It both a social and fund raising event and often very enjoyable.
At my church, Whitham Road in Sheffield, we are holding such an event quite soon.
Ours is on Friday 25th November at 7pm. Tickets are £10 and will be available from our church. Although, if you need a ticket but cannot get to us for one, you may email me and I will help you.

There is going to be a Neo Astrology Workshop at Whitham Road Church in Sheffield. The workshop is run by Neo Astrologer Drew Biggin. The event is on Saturday the 24th of September.
So all of you who are keen to learn more about astrology, why not come along and learn all about it. It is planned to be a very interesting experience. You will learn why sun signs in the daily paper don’t work at all. You will also look at the horoscopes of well known celebrities. You will also have the opportunity to have a go yourself.
The workshop starts at 11 am and ends at 4pm. The tickets are £10 each. Refreshments will be available but you need to bring a packed lunch. If you would like to order a ticket you can contact me and I will make sure you get one. Or you may find information on the church website.

As you may know, if you are a regular to my blog, Saturday was Whitham Road’s (my own church) Psychic Fair.
The event went very well and some of my students were there to give readings. Pearl, Mervi and Laura were excellent, giving good readings and enjoying the new experience. I cannot thank them enough for working at the fair and I am so proud to say they are my novices. They are regular attendees at my development circle.
Lots of private readings and mini readings were given. Many tried the taster sessions of Rekki and Spiritual Healing. It was both busy and fun. A good event to demonstrate the activities of our church.
If you get the opportunity to go to a psychic fair, then please go along and enjoy it. Church Fairs are for raising funds for the church. Unlike the private fairs which are in it solely for the money. We only charge £1 to enter the fair and readings are £5 and £10. Reiki was £3 and healing was free. Compared to a private fair we certainly are the best value.

I am pleased to say that I have now written and published 500 posts on this blog. They are all of psychic, paranormal, healing and ghostly topics. So you have 500 posts to read!
If there is a subject in this genre you wish to know more about, you can use the search facility on this page and find lots to read. I am certain you will find them very informative.
I gather from most of your emails that you enjoy reading about these subjects. Above all you seem to like the simple and straightforward way I explain things to you.
As you can imagine, after 500 posts it is sometimes a little difficult to think of new topics to write about, therefore, I will be grateful to receive any suggestions you have for new topics.

Whilst graphology is a purely scientific skill, it is something that people with an interest in the psychic and mediumistic, often enjoy. Maybe it is the ‘magic’ of it all.
Strangely, I first became interested in the subject whilst I was on a course at the Arthur Findlay SNU College at Stansted, many years ago. This is the college for psychic and mediumistic studies. But, on this occasion, and several others at the time, there was a lady there who gave readings via handwriting. She was a graphologist.
There was little that she could not tell you about yourself from the small sample of writing she asked for. She was obviously gifted mediumistically too, as she gave more than she could get from the writing alone. Yet, the writing says so much.
Our handwriting says everything about us, except sometimes your sex is not revealed. Each curl and curve, each dot and dash, serve as body language on the paper. Just the space you use up making a letter, tells all sorts about you.
After I got interested I decided to take it up seriously and I went to college to further my studies. I am forever amazed by the information gleaned from writing, as I am about the information gleaned through psychic means. Together, I find it wonderful. Having both gifts is truly a bonus.
There are many books on the subject, but like mediumship, you are forever learning. There is no substitute for learning other than practice. Knowledge on the subject matter plus lots of work practicing.
