It was last week that I ran my Graphology workshop for our Swiss guests. And this week I gave some of them private readings.  The event was run and organised by Pat Campbell, a well know international medium who lives in Sheffild.

The Swiss  mostly spoke in German, which meant we  had to have an interpreter. This was a new thing for myself. But I found it thoroughly enjoyable.

The guests threw themselves into the workshop with enthusiasm and gusto.  We had a lovely day and it was really nice getting to know them all.

The readings I gave were warmly appreciated,  particularly by one lady in particular, Emmie.  Emmie said that she had been waiting for particular evidence for a long time. She had been going from medium to medium in the hope of getting the proof .  Emmie told me that I was the only medium who had been able to give her that proof.  She was beside herself with happiness.

The Swiss party were leaving Sheffield for home this morning. So yesterday evening we all went out together for dinner and drinks. We had a wonderful time.

I have so much enjoyed my participation in their week of workshops. I am sure they will all turn out to be good mediums and the language will never be a problem for them.  Graphology is not of course a psychic tool but we used our psychic ability to make it different and to give them as much practice as possible.

If they enjoyed it as much as I did, they will have gone home very happy and looking forward to coming over again.

This is the most heralded film from director Clint Eastwood. It stars Matt Damon, he of the wooden face!  He is always expressionless and this was most apparent in this film.

I so looked forward to this film. I thought it was going to try and persuade people that there is more to life!  But I was sadly very wrong.

The film drifts about aimlessly. There is little plot and poor acting. Not least of all from the two young boys who featured in it. Well, they appeared in it.  Am I being too harsh? I don’t think so.

There was no important middle to this script. It is so badly written that in places it makes no sense at all. Why did I waste the price of the DVD?

As for the hereafter – it had very little to do with the subject except that people died. It seemed to me like it was a book that had not been adapted very well.  Cannot understand why Eastwood even considered it. Maybe he is getting a tad too old to be objective. Or maybe he just doesn’t care anymore.

Save your money or buy yourself something worthwhile.

Last Saturday saw lots of nice, like minded people, turn up at our church for Jill’s Crystal Workshop.  We had ladies from as far away as Beverley. They loved it.

Jill is very knowledgeable abour crystals and their uses. She showed us lots of her own collection of crystals. She also explained the many uses for them and the properties therein.

The shapes and the colours and the size all have their own importance. It has made me want to learn more about them.  I bout several from our church stall.  We sell items like this in order to raise funds for the church.

Jill also brought along some crystal jewelry and chakra stones for us to by as well as those we could look at and handle.  Altogether, it was a really nice experience.

We were given demonstrations of crystal healing too and those who volunteered to be practised on enjoyed it too.  We also learned how to use a pendulum. Most of us bought them too.

We were given lots of had outs so that we didn’t have to worry about forgetting any of it. That was very useful for us all.  So now we can just look up the information in our own time.

If your knowledge is lacking, maybe as in my previous post, then what better to do than go on a course.  Find a course or workshop to attend with wonderful teachers. Improve yourself that way.

I attended a wonderful course this weekend. There were lots of lovely like minded  people there.  It was wonderful to share a dining table  ( and the bar) with others who understood where we were coming from. How I will miss those lovely new friends. We learned so much together during the exercises we were given.

We learned all about being in the power. Better still, we learned how to stay in the power. We also were able to see how our energies changed from the passive state, to the message giving state. We had photos taken which showed up our energies in wonderful colour. What a great way to learn.

I will especially miss Aneka, a lovely Dutch lady, with whom I was paired for many of the exercises. Ilsa too, who really worked hard to perfect her English along the way. What wonderful characters!  Suzette, who was so warm and supportive and the lovely Dawn.  And, Verity!  A wonderful young lady with so much zest for the subject and for life itself. What a time we had.

The weekend was made complete by the companionship of my very loyal friends, Pearl and Teresa. How we laughed, cried, and learned so much together!

Our wonderfully mediumistic  tutors were the fabulous Mavis Pitilla – creme de la creme of teachers – and Thelma who I met for the first time. Thelma is a lovely, knowledgeable, lady who brought laughter and energy to the whole affair. Plus, the camera which she used to great effect in showing us our energies.

A special mention to Jean, Mavis’ great friend, who organised the whole affair and looked after all our needs with love and laughter. She’s a true gem!

This is a good book both easy to read and to understand. It is about scientific experiments which are designed to prove once and for all that the consciousness survives physical death.

The scientists seek the help of famous mediums to help conduct the experiments under strict laboratory conditions. John Edward and Suzane Northrup being two of the most well known of them in the USA.

The mediums give readings to numerous sitters, whose identity is kept secret until after the experiments are over. They are shocked, surprised, and often brought to tears by the revelations.

I found reading the transcripts of the sittings very interesting, but it did leave me feeling that British mediums seek stronger evidence to prove survival than American mediums and that they are harder on themselves, often seeking perfection from their readings.

The book is  on Amazon at the moment, so a good time to purchase it if you are interested in this subject.

Yesterday evening’s circle, the first in the current run, was good, very enjoyable.  There is a good mix of nubie and more experienced students who are all keen to learn and develop. A very nice group of people. I prefer to have a mixed group as they learn from each other and share experiences too.

I taught the students how to open up and close down their psychic centres. Something that is very important, however experienced you are.  After 30 years I still pay attention to closing down, and always will.  You can never be too careful here.

When you are open you are like a light which flickers in the dark  and to which spirits are drawn. The only way to safely stop drawing them in, is to close down properly. Then you are safe. You do not want to be picking up from spirits the whole time, believe me. It would not be nice. Not all spirits are nice. Just the same as not all people are nice.

We did a short meditation, after which the group tried their hands at psychometry.  With some good results.  Time beat us and all too soon  we were closing down again and recapping the evenings events.

As always, I asked for any left over energy to go out as healing, during my closing prayer.  I am looking forward to next week and taking them a step further along the spiritual pathway.  If you want to join us you will be very welcome.

‘Life After Life’ is a book by Raymond A Moody.  Dr Raymond Moody is a renowned psychiatrist and researcher, who is also a leading authority on near death experiences.  Dr Moody runs a research institute called The Theatre of the Mind in the USA.

This book first appeared in 1975 but has been revised and is available still in an anniversary edition.

I have long been interested in life after death, or near death, experiences.  For me it is these types of experience which help us to realise that there is more to us than this earthly existence.  Out of body experiences at the time of near death also give us an insight into what it might be like at the time of death.

This book quotes the experiences of lots of Americans at the time of their cardiac arrest, and other possible major life ending traumas.  There is a wide age range and people from all walks of life talk about their experience and emotional upheaval.

The most common thing to be mentioned is a ‘golden light’ (some say ‘white light’) appearing up high in the corner of the room.  This light making the person feel warm, peaceful and safe.  The light is often referred to as God or Lord.  There is a ‘knowing’ of words of comfort rather than a hearing.  It is towards this light that a person gravitates.

I personally understand the ‘knowing’ of words, as this happens when I am working mediumistically.  I am not though a person who has ever had these experiences.  My hubby suffered three cardiac arrests at the time of his heart attack, from which he recovered.  He is adamant that he had none of this type of experience.

Thousands have a near death without recalling any of these sorts of events, but thousands do recall events.  There are those who can induce out of body experiences without there being any trauma.  Many in this book have the events whilst on the operating table.

The book is very easy to read and to understand and I thoroughly recommend it to all with an interest in the beyond.   There are also follow ups to this publication of his.  Although extremely good, you may decide, as I have done, after reading three of them, that one of his books on this subject is enough. Good reading!

The ribbon and colour special which I did at Whitham Road SNU church in Sheffield last Saturday evening, was a success and I would like to thank all those who came along for their support.

There was a nice crowd there who had never seen work with colour before and they enjoyed it.  They also enjoyed the informality of the evening too.

Several people came to me afterwards to tell me how good there message was and to fill in the blanks for me, so that I could see how spirit had worked with them and myself. That was nice. Feedback is always good. Whether it be negative or positive. It is always good to know how it has all worked out.

The film Sixth Sense, starring Bruce Willis and the lovely  Haley Joel Osment, was a great success and no wonder. It was a film of great foresight and the producers raked in lots of money. They dealt with the subject of death and life after death, very sympathetically.

They also dealt with the subject of the sixth sense, clairvoyance, second sight etc very well indeed. Hats off to them.  No one could have done it better.

If you wanted to explain all about mediums you could simply take along your friends to the cinema or rent the video.  You cannot go wrong with this wonderful film.  – Can you tell I like it?

What stands out most is the natural way it as all dealt with. And here is my point.  Your sixth sense is natural! We all have it and it is there for us all to tap into naturally.  All we have to do is choose to develop it.

The sixth sense is not paranormal, it is natural!  It is not about ghosts and ghoulies.  It is about knowing and feeling and forever being aware of our loved ones. What a wonderful gift our maker gave us.
