Mediumship and Beyond

If you thought that table phenomena was dead then you are wrong. It is definitely alive and floating as I write.  In fact, at the psychic fair at Attercliffe Spiritulaist Church in Sheffield,last weekend there was a display of it.

Whilst mediums and psychics were giving readings in the main hall, visitors were invited into the room at the back, where the table phenomena was displayed.

In the past I spent many an evening with the mediums there, working at the table. Getting messages and being given a wonderful display of what the table could do.

The visitors this week enjoyed the spectacle. I had feedback from some of them who had not witnessed it  before. They were thrilled.

Of course, it has to be remembered, that unless there is a ‘physical medium’ in control of the table, it is only working on the sitter’s psychic energy. Not Spirit.

Psychic energy is surprisingly strong and comes from us all. Together in a confined space it can be utilised to move the table.

For spirit to work the table there has to be a medium who has developed physical mediumship to a good extent. Then the medium will produce ectoplasm which spirit can use to control the table. That way the messages you get from it will be from spirit.

If you get the chance to witness it, have a go and enjoy.

After 30  years developing my gift you might be forgiven for thinking that I had done enough.  Or that I was developed enough.  Or maybe, that I was by now satisfied, with my mediumship.

Not in the slightest. I will carry on developing and improving my mediumship until my time here is done. Then I will carry on my development in the spirit world.

I love developing my gifts. I also love passing on my knowledge to others so that they may develop to their very best.  It is quite hard work sometimes but worth every moment.

Once again I have been with my sister and a friend, to a weekend medium’s seminar. We had a wonderful time with 40 other like minded people. All of whom were at differing levels of their development.

Our tutors were excellent mediums, who gave us new food for thought and put us through the paces of exercises, which were aimed at making our mediumship more lively.  What fun we had.

Being with a large group, all of whom are very spiritual people, can be very emotional. And it was at times.  At other times it was hard work and yet others amusing.  We travelled the whole gamut.

It was more interesting because we were not all at the same level. Some of the group were absolute beginners. They enjoyed it as much as the rest. I cannot recommend going on such courses, enough. Please do try it.  But make sure you know the experience and integrity of your tutors. It is so important. A bad experience with a clueless tutor can put you off forever.

There was yet another programme this week on English TV about mediums and Spiritualism. As usual it was a very cynical view of us.  They seem to ignore the fact that we are part of a recognised religion.

I feel very strongly about this. So much so that I have sent in a complaint about it. As have many others. If you feel as strongly about it then please send in a complaint too.

The studio was full of cynics and the only mediums included were not even given a place in the studio. They were left to argue their cause via a video link. Hardly fair to begin with. But exactly what we have come to expect.

The main thing the BBC wanted to argue about was the fact that mediums often charge a fee for their services.  Why not? Mediums work hard for their churches. Mediums have to live and pay petrol money out to travel from church to church. They have to have their hair done and wear decent clothes.  Money doesn’t come from fresh air.

The medium charges for their time and for the hard work they put into it.  Mediums also spend years attending courses to develop our skills.   None of these are free.  I personally have spent nearly 30 years developing.  Going across the country to find good tutors to help me.

Yes we charge for some of our work, much the same as vicars, who get actual salaries.  Plumbers get paid for their time and skills. What is wrong with mediums recouping a small amount towards the cost of  long lasting training? Our training lasts far longer than a vicars and we don’t get wages whilst we do it.

As for our RELIGION – don’t get me started!  Spiritualism is a registered religion. Just the same as Catholicism. Just the same as Baptists.  Just the same as Islam.  Just the same as the Jewish faith.  Just the same as ‘Scientology’. We have divine services too. We have God in our churches. Why should we have to put up with this continual bias against us.

As for the BBC, they are supposed to be unbiased and fair. I see no evidence of this. Isn’t  it the ‘fairness’ that we pay our TV license for!

This weekend I served the church by doing a Special  evening of colour and stone reading.  It was at Whitham Road church. There was a nice crowd to work with and of course Spirit to work with, and to give me messages of survival evidence to pass on.

I like to give information as I am working. This maybe  brings out the teacher in me. I love to share my knowledge.  The special was a good place to do this. A lot of the crowd had never experienced colour reading before and they too enjoyed the fact that I explained what I was doing.

The evening was a success and I really enjoyed it all. The congregation were eager to learn more and thanked me afterwards.  Friends also turned up to support me and that was really nice too. I thank them for coming.

It was last week that I ran my Graphology workshop for our Swiss guests. And this week I gave some of them private readings.  The event was run and organised by Pat Campbell, a well know international medium who lives in Sheffild.

The Swiss  mostly spoke in German, which meant we  had to have an interpreter. This was a new thing for myself. But I found it thoroughly enjoyable.

The guests threw themselves into the workshop with enthusiasm and gusto.  We had a lovely day and it was really nice getting to know them all.

The readings I gave were warmly appreciated,  particularly by one lady in particular, Emmie.  Emmie said that she had been waiting for particular evidence for a long time. She had been going from medium to medium in the hope of getting the proof .  Emmie told me that I was the only medium who had been able to give her that proof.  She was beside herself with happiness.

The Swiss party were leaving Sheffield for home this morning. So yesterday evening we all went out together for dinner and drinks. We had a wonderful time.

I have so much enjoyed my participation in their week of workshops. I am sure they will all turn out to be good mediums and the language will never be a problem for them.  Graphology is not of course a psychic tool but we used our psychic ability to make it different and to give them as much practice as possible.

If they enjoyed it as much as I did, they will have gone home very happy and looking forward to coming over again.

This is the most heralded film from director Clint Eastwood. It stars Matt Damon, he of the wooden face!  He is always expressionless and this was most apparent in this film.

I so looked forward to this film. I thought it was going to try and persuade people that there is more to life!  But I was sadly very wrong.

The film drifts about aimlessly. There is little plot and poor acting. Not least of all from the two young boys who featured in it. Well, they appeared in it.  Am I being too harsh? I don’t think so.

There was no important middle to this script. It is so badly written that in places it makes no sense at all. Why did I waste the price of the DVD?

As for the hereafter – it had very little to do with the subject except that people died. It seemed to me like it was a book that had not been adapted very well.  Cannot understand why Eastwood even considered it. Maybe he is getting a tad too old to be objective. Or maybe he just doesn’t care anymore.

Save your money or buy yourself something worthwhile.

Last Saturday saw lots of nice, like minded people, turn up at our church for Jill’s Crystal Workshop.  We had ladies from as far away as Beverley. They loved it.

Jill is very knowledgeable abour crystals and their uses. She showed us lots of her own collection of crystals. She also explained the many uses for them and the properties therein.

The shapes and the colours and the size all have their own importance. It has made me want to learn more about them.  I bout several from our church stall.  We sell items like this in order to raise funds for the church.

Jill also brought along some crystal jewelry and chakra stones for us to by as well as those we could look at and handle.  Altogether, it was a really nice experience.

We were given demonstrations of crystal healing too and those who volunteered to be practised on enjoyed it too.  We also learned how to use a pendulum. Most of us bought them too.

We were given lots of had outs so that we didn’t have to worry about forgetting any of it. That was very useful for us all.  So now we can just look up the information in our own time.

If your knowledge is lacking, maybe as in my previous post, then what better to do than go on a course.  Find a course or workshop to attend with wonderful teachers. Improve yourself that way.

I attended a wonderful course this weekend. There were lots of lovely like minded  people there.  It was wonderful to share a dining table  ( and the bar) with others who understood where we were coming from. How I will miss those lovely new friends. We learned so much together during the exercises we were given.

We learned all about being in the power. Better still, we learned how to stay in the power. We also were able to see how our energies changed from the passive state, to the message giving state. We had photos taken which showed up our energies in wonderful colour. What a great way to learn.

I will especially miss Aneka, a lovely Dutch lady, with whom I was paired for many of the exercises. Ilsa too, who really worked hard to perfect her English along the way. What wonderful characters!  Suzette, who was so warm and supportive and the lovely Dawn.  And, Verity!  A wonderful young lady with so much zest for the subject and for life itself. What a time we had.

The weekend was made complete by the companionship of my very loyal friends, Pearl and Teresa. How we laughed, cried, and learned so much together!

Our wonderfully mediumistic  tutors were the fabulous Mavis Pitilla – creme de la creme of teachers – and Thelma who I met for the first time. Thelma is a lovely, knowledgeable, lady who brought laughter and energy to the whole affair. Plus, the camera which she used to great effect in showing us our energies.

A special mention to Jean, Mavis’ great friend, who organised the whole affair and looked after all our needs with love and laughter. She’s a true gem!
