Mediumship and Beyond

Have you tried communicating with your loved ones after they have gone on to the higher side of life?  It can seem a daunting task when you are so caught up in the sadness that such loss brings.

I know all you want to do is feel them, and hold them, and talk to them just as before.  You can, but in a different sense, and all it takes time and practice.  I can help guide you to develop your gifts so that it becomes almost second nature to you.

I am not suggesting you live in the past, that you replace the living with the dead, or that you should not move on in any way.  What I am suggesting is that you come to a realisation that we are all spirit and that as spirit we can all communicate with each other, albeit in a different way.

We came here from our home in the Spirit World to learn the lessons that only human life could teach us, in order to help our eternal evolution.  When our lessons are learned and our time is up, we go back home.

There is no beginning and no end to communication, or to life. It is eternal evolution!

Spirit is everywhere. We are spirit.  Spirit is without and within.  You only have to look around at all the beauty and know the world is a spiritual place.

We don’t always behave in a spiritual manner sadly.But, we are human and here to live a human existence until we are recalled to our home in the Spirit World.  We have to learn to live this life so that we may evolve as a spirit and be able to move on.

The spirit world is not just our home, it is a place where we can learn and grow, just like here on the earth plane.  There may be reincarnatio and i believe there is, for those who want it or feel the need for it. But we only reincarnate if we choose to.  Many will just choose to evolve in the spirit world.

Our friends and our loved ones are there to greet us when we arrive back home but it would be a waste not to stay here and finish what we came for.  To evolve. To become more of a spiritual being.

Some lessons I am sure, can only be learned through an earthly existence.  It is a unique experience for us all.  Our guides, guardian angels and loved ones,  will help us both in the spirit world and here on this earth.  It is a united effort.

We can learn how to communicate with our loved both hee and in the psirit world and it is always going to be useful to us.  Try beginning your development here.  You will never regret it.  enjoy your life and make the most of it.

Mediums work with spirit!  Mediums are like the piggy in the middle twixt the spirit and the sitter.  The medium links in with spirit and passes on the message to the seeker.  The go-between if you prefer.

We cannot, as mediums, demand who comes forward to work with us, but we can ask.  We ought not ask for a particular spirit as there may be others who are very keen to communicate who might not get through.

As mediums we should work really hard to get through as much information as possible to do the spirit world justice.  We should not settle for a simple sentence or two.  The more evidence the better as that is the only way to prove survival to non believers.

If you are a spirit worker you must set your sights high and never be satisfied.  Only then will you get communication worth the wait.  If the spirit that your sitter wants does not come through you may still get good proof from another loved one.  Don’t think for a minute that our spirit loved ones have nothing to do, but to roll around heaven all day!

In my last post I discussed meditating to find the spirit within.  It is a wonderful; way to relax and let go too.  We should all try it more often.  But meditation can also be used to meet your guardian angels and spirit guides.  They are a part of you too.

When you are developing your psychic ability and learning to use your mediumistic gifts, meditation is essential.  To get to know yourself and your guides, you meditate and go within.  You will find peace and you can ask for your guides to come forward and teach you.

Whilst in this peaceful state your guides can work with you and show you the way.  They may tell you how to communicate with them and also you can tell them how you need things to be within your special partnership.

On occasion, your angel guide may show you more about themselves. I have had guides show me where they used to live and what they used to do.  Essentially it is all about spirit communication.

The more practice you allow yourself to have, the more useful you will find it.  Try it for yourself.  Don’t expect wonders the first time.  Do persevere, it will be woth the work. Enjoy!

Yesterday I gave a private reading using some of the new techniques I have learned.  It enabled me to get more accurate information for my sitter.

I am always amazed at just how much information the spirits can bring to help prove that their spirit/soul  is still in existence.

How wonderful to be described your granny and told what her character was like.  Where she lived and what her family got up to.

Add to this grannys description of what is going on around her family in the present time, and some reassurance about the things we are worrying about.  This seems like a big deal to me.

I wish someone had given me such information in the readings I was given 30 years ago.  Things have definitely moved onward and upward, for the betterment of mediumship.

We should all aspire to giving the very best that spirit can bring to our readings.

Why is it that some people are terrified of seeing a spirit or a ghost.  Is it because they know nothing about the subject and therefore think they can be harmed, or worse?

I am often told by a terrified sitter,  that  a ghost is following them around.  More puzzling is that they complain that their dead granny is appearing in their presence!  Why are they afraid of a dead loved one?

I think sometimes ignorance is bliss, but in this case it is detrimental. Dead loved ones are not going to come back to scare or harm you.  Why would they.  More importantly, they cannot harm you, they have no body and no physical presence.

What you have to remember is that when a persson dies and passes over to the higher side of life, they have to leave their physical body behind.  The spirit moves to the spirit world, for that is where spirits live.  The body is now dead and must be cremated or buried.

So you see, there is  nothing physical with which to attack or harm you.  Even if they wanted to.  In the spirit world we have to atone for all wrong doings.  We cannot do that by coming back to the earth plane and doing bad things.

If a spirit shows them self to me, I feel honoured.  I am more than delighted to see them, communicate with them, and be the medium between them and their loved ones here on the earth plane.  What a joy!  Besides, loved ones come back to help guide and comfort us in our troubled times.

So, if you start seeing spirits, don’t be afraid.  Get help to understand it and deal with it.  You might find that you enjoy it too.

Spiritual music, not hymns and psalms.  By spiritual music I mean songs and music written for and inspired by the dead.  Usually the famous dead.

Grief can bring out the spiritual and artistic in many people.  Writing music and lyrics whilst in mourning for someone can bring out great compassion and emotion.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin spring to mind here.  I like their writing styles personally,  and sometimes the emotion and compassion which comes from their songs is over whelming.

Take first the song which was reworded for Princess Diana, upon her untimely death.  Bernie Taupin amended the words to fit the occasion and Elton sang ‘Goodbye England Rose’, at her funeral.  It was his one and only performance of that particular song.  He cannot bear to sing that particular version again.

‘Goodby Norma Jean’ was origainlly written about the passing of Marilyn Monroe.  The words were both spiritual and moving and the music added to the emotion.

You may not be aware of  ‘Empty Garden’, unless you are an Elton John fan, as it is on the ‘Jump Up’  album from the early 80s and was never made into a single. He does not usually sing it on stage, though he did sing it at Madison Square Garden as a tribute.

Empty Garden is about the death of John Lennon. He and EJ were friends.  The words and music are both full of emotion and compassion.  I can listen to it over and over without getting tired of it.  I find it very moving and very spiritual.

It is easy to think of BT and EJ as rock and roll hard guys.  Bernie is a poet and Elton a fantastic singer and entertainer.  Above all,  I think they are spiritual human beings. Full of compassion.

I truly hope that one day in the, hopefully  far distant future,  someone can do them both justice, by producing such a tribute as they have done for others.

In my own personal opinion, I believe Elvis was a very spiritual man.  He spread so much love during his life and does not deserve the criticism that is sent his way.

Elvis was brought up on gospel music and still sang gospel songs in breaks from rehearsals for his big shows.  He has a wonderful album ‘His Hand In Mine’ which consists of spiritual songs.  I like a lot of them and love a few.  Peace in the Valley being one of them.

When Elvis made his televised TV programme, The 68 Comeback Special, I was wowed by all of it.  One song in particular stood out for me though.  Right at the end of the show, Elvis stood immaculately dressed in a white suit and belted out the brilliant ‘If I Can Dream’.

If I Can Dream is a very spiritual song with great  lyrics and wonderfully moving music.  Elvis sang his heart out.  I will never forget the song or the moment, and now I often play it at the start of my workshops or circles. 

I don’t think it has ever been made into a single, or if it is on any other Elvis albums, but it is worth searching around for it and listening to.  Try itunes.  You won’t regret it.

You cannot beat natural talent, be it singing, art, dancing or mediumship.  Children have natural psychic ability and a natural flare for saying it as it is.

We all have this inate ability but when we arrive at birth onto this earth plane some of us forget how to use the gift.  Children, because they have been here the shortest length of time, are the least likely to have forgotten.

Children tend to  use the gift by instinct, until such a time as society knocks it out of them.  This is usually as they get a little older, when those around them do not appear to use the same skills.  Peer pressure is not a good thing for little psychic souls.

Once the child begins to realise that not everyone uses the same senses as them, they become afraid that they may be considered odd and strange.  They are afraid they will be laughed at and marginalised.

The child decides to keep their ability to them self and stop using the psychic gifts that have been bestowed on them.  It is really a shame, as such a gift nurtured can become a great source of  proof from the spirit world.  Proof that would help mankind believe in life after death.

If you have a child who still uses his or her psychic ability,  please nurture that gift and help them understand how special they are to use it.  When they are older you can seek help for them to develop as they wish.
