It may be just a brush against my cheek or a tickling of my hair, but it is enough to bring a smile to my face and a warmth in my heart.  I feel at peace, and I know which loved ones they are by the way they make themselves felt.

A particular loved one strokes my cheek and another caresses my brow.  It is not the same sensation as a human touch, more of a sense of it.  It is enough though, when you have learned to tune in to your sixth sense.

Too often we get bogged down with day to day trivia and become depressed by life’s problems.  We are not always aware that spirit have moved in close to comfort us.  The feelings we have often swamp us and make it impossible for others to get close. When you are truly sad, that is when they come the closest, but it can also be the time when we use our senses the least.

Persevere and you will be rewarded. When you feel most alone, that is when you are most guarded and guided. You can be confident that your Guardian Angel will be there to comfort and guide you.

When you feel a presence, ask who it is (in your head). You may not get an answer there and then, but you will find out who it is if you are patient. You can try a system of elimination, this often works well.

You may not be able to see them or hear them, although some can,  but you can learn to feel their presence.  A scent, or the sense of them around you at times of sorrow, is very comforting.

If you develop your latent psychic gifts,  you can help others, as well as yourself,  to overcome the grief that the loss of a loved one brings. A little time spent on a regular basis, will help you to use your sixth sense to such an extent that you may surprise yourself, as well as the others whom you choose to help or practice on.

I have devised my own awareness course,  dedicated to developing psychic gifts.  It is born from years of developing my own mediumistic gifts and using them to help others overcome their own grief.  It uses a combination of exercises and meditations.

A medium is actually a go-between.  A go between the spirit and those left behind.  A link between this world and the spirits in the afterlife. We cannot summon spirits  up, but they can sometimes come close to us and pass on messages of comfort both directly and with the help of a medium.

In times of grief and illness or troubles in your life, a link with spirit is a great help and comfort.

You may be able to learn to do this yourself with practice, or you may find out that you can do it already.  If not, then you can still get communication from them via a good medium.  You can do this by going to see one privately, on the recommendation of a trusted friend or relative.  Otherwise, you could go along to a meeting at a spiritualist church or hall where a medium is demonstrating clairvoyance.

If you plump for the private consultation, then you are more likely to get a longer reading.  This reading may or may not include a message from your recently ‘lost’ loved one.  Sometimes when loved ones first pass over they are unable to communicate.  It may take them a while to adjust to their new circumstances before they are ready to get in touch.

If it is not possible for the recently passed over loved to communicate themselves, they may pass communication to you via another spirit personality.  It all depends how much evolved the spirit was before it’s earthly existence.  Some already know how to communicate and therefore they get in touch pretty quickly.  If they had no experience, they will have to learn, much the same as we have to learn here.  Therefore, you may have to wait a while.

When you go for a consult, it is no good asking for just the one person to come through, as you cannot call up any spirit.  You have to ask for communication and then wait and see who comes through.  In my experience, it is best not to get into any conversation with the medium before your reading.  Wait until afterwards to ask any questions and before divulging any information.

Any medium worth their salt would not ask you any questions.  It would get in the way.  A medium has to keep a clear head and so anything you talk about is a hindrance.  Just say yes, no, or, I do not know what you mean, in answer to anything the medium says.  It is best for all three of you, you, the medium, and the spirit entity in the long run.

If you choose not to go for the private reading then you could go along to a meeting and the medium may come to you and pass on the communication from spirit.  Again, do not feed the medium, just keep your responses short and to the point as I have suggested above.

I am not suggesting that you live in the past, nor that you replace the living with the dead, Neither do I suggest that you don’t move on with your life.  What I am suggesting, is that you come to a realisation that we are all spirit and that as spirit we can all communicate with each other, albeit in a different way than on the earth plain.

We all are SPIRIT and came here to this earthly life, from our home in the Spirit World, to learn the lessons that only human life could teach us, in order to facilitate our eternal evolution.  When our lessons are learned and our time is up, we go back home. However long or however short the earthly time.  We have no say in that.

Remember, there is no beginning and no end to communication, or to life.  Life is everlasting.

Mediums are just your average human being. There is nothing unnatural about us. We have just spent a large part of our lives dedicated to developing our psychic ability,  to such a degree that we can communicate with spirits. This is what makes us a bit different. But still human with human traits and failings.

You may have spent your life learning an academic subject or an art subject. Mine has been a spiritual pathway. But, it has been alongside my normal career pathway, not instead of. I have always needed to work.

I feel there is far too much reverence given to some mediums at some churches. Yes, respect the gift that the medium demonstrates. And yes, be grateful that they give their time and energy for your church. But don’t treat mediums like gods. For that is far from what we are.

When it comes down to the reality of it all, we are still crying at funerals and still upset by bereavement. Just because we are mediums does not make death any easier to bear.

The only thing that is easier, is our knowledge that our spirits life is eternal and therefore will go on forever. We will all be together again and this eases the pain of passings. Eases, but does not take it away.

The full answer is a little more complicated. As I say many times, we are all spirit, first and foremost. We come here from our home in the Spirit World, to learn and help our spirit to evolve.

The fact that they were babies here on this earth plane, does not mean they cannot communicate. They may be very evolved spirits who already knew how to communicate, before they came to earth.

Whilst we are living our material life we are not able to recall our spiritual life. But, as soon as we arrive back home in the Spirit World, we can remember it all.

That is why babies can communicate.  They will come to you as babies because that is how you know and love them. When you go home to Spirit they will be there to meet you. You will evolve together. A wonderful spirit family.

During our material lifetime a lot of us will have pets at some point. If not our own, then we may learn to love or care for another’s. It may be a dog or a cat but can just as easily be something a bit more exotic.  My brother breeds birds of prey as well as dogs.

When a pet comes into your life it soon becomes one of the family. You love it and nurture in some of the ways you would a human baby. You nurse it through all its teething problems and shed a tear when it becomes ill.  Take it along to the vet and pay the bill when you cannot fix things yourself.

But sooner or later, there comes the time when you cannot do anything to prolong the life of your beloved pet.  Their life span is usually much shorter than the human one. It is always a sad time however the event occurs, but it will. You cannot prepare yourself for it anymore than you can prepare for a family passing.

The passing is heartbreaking and you wonder if you will ever get over it. But of course, with time, you will.  You will never forget and you will never stop loving but you will get over the sad event. You will begin to heal.

Your pet will wait for you in the spirit world and will be reunited with you when it is time for your transition.  You will carry on where you left off.  Meanwhile, be gentle with yourself and allow yourself time to grieve your loved ones passing.

The difference between the medium’s message and the cold readers message is great.  A medium has to give lots of unique evidence.  It has to be a collection of things which the sitter and their family can uniquely place with their spirit loved one.

Generalisations such as ‘a man who had a heart attack’ or ‘a woman who had trouble with her legs’, do not constitute, in themselves, proof of anything.  If you give unique proof and also include the man and woman, then it is good. All the information given has to come together to build up the jigsaw puzzle.

Cold readers cannot possibly match this unique evidence and you need to be aware of this if you decide to have a private reading.

Look upon a sitting as being told a story. A story that, when it all comes together,  only fits you, your family, and your friends as a whole. Some others may be able to take parts of the message, as with the above mentioned man and woman, but only you should be able to understand the full story.

We all know a John and a David, so too a Gill and a Carol. We all know of someone who passed with a heart attack or a lung disease.  But put these into your unique set of circumstances and it makes all the difference.

If the John passed with lung disease and you are told he also lived on a farm and was connected to Mary, who just happens to be your mother, then this is unique to you. These are not details which a cold reader would come up with, nor indeed a psychic reader.

What makes the medium’s message so special is that the information comes from spirits and the spirit world; from your loved ones who have crossed over. They lived in your unique life and therefore know all about your circumstances. This also makes them able to offer advice on your current problems.

Beware of cold readers and those, maybe at an open circle,  who may have heard your story from someone.

Our loved one may have been suffering terrible pain and misery. We don’t want that. We don’t want them to keep on suffering, but it is so hard to let go. We grieve for them.

We pray and ask for them to stay. Maybe it sounds a little selfish but we love them. No, we don’t want them to be in pain and suffering but, we cannot bear to lose them form our midst.

How do we mourn and get through our day to day lives?

First we need to understand life and death.  We know we are all Spirits through and through.  On this material plane or in the Spirit World, we are still spirit. That never changes.  What does change is the place where our spirit dwells. We have an earthly body here which we discard when we go back home to spirit.

We all come from the Spirit World. We come here to the material plane to live a material life and allow our spirit to evolve.  We do not know how long our time on Earth will last.  We only know that we have an allotted time, and when that time is up we go back home.

We continue to evolve in the Spirit World. But, when another loved one arrives back home, we go to meet and greet them. We appear in the guise of our material life so that our loved ones will recognise us. This helps them to settle in back home once more.

Like it or not, it is really a case of happiness and sadness. When we leave the Spirit World to come here, our loved ones will be sad and will miss us. When we arrive on Earth, our loved ones rejoice but the are sad when our time comes to go back to Spirit.

We have a purpose. This purpose takes us from one realm to another. We continue to evolve and we all know it is our purpose. Whilst we are living a material life, we forget where we came from. This is because our knowledge would affect the way we live our earthly life. It could impair our journey.

We have to get from A to B with our own free will. But our choice of time is not an option. So remember when you are mourning,  your loved one will now be safe on the Higher Side of Life. They will be continuing their journey of evolvement and you will all meet again once more on the other side.

They are on their Spiritual pathway. As are we all. We can still feel their presence sometimes, and my be able to receive communication from them via a medium.  We have our memories of them and our life spent together. They are a joy we will never lose. And we will never lose our link with their Spirit. EVER!

Her son Trevor, had been killed in a road accident and I gave her lots of information during the reading about the event. In fact I knew nothing of the event until that reading.

I told her Trevor, showed me 2 different ambulances at the scene of the car crash and that one went one way to a hospital and the other went in the opposite direction to a different hospital. One contained Trevor and the other his wife, Ximi.

I saw the rescue team get a lady out of one door, her face being covered in glass, but they could not open the drivers door and the car had burst into flames. I saw them trying to get him out and eventually they did get him out and took him to a specialist unit. He showed me the things that happened whilst he was in the emergency room and I related them to his Mother, to her amazement.

He told me that he died from head injuries and mercifully did not feel the pain of fire as he was unconscious.  This to the relief of his Mum.

He described a lady in the Spirit World who was now looking after him. The description and details of passing fitted his maternal grand mother. This pleased his mum, who wanted to know he was not alone. She also wanted to know if he was still around herself as she thought she had become aware of him.

Trevor told me that the day before our reading, he had been watching his Mother, in her home, and she was kicking, cussing and crying at her vacuum cleaner. This made his mum both laugh and cry. She said she never, ever, vacuumed, as she had a cleaner who did it all.  Except, the day prior to the reading.  After the char lady had gone home, there was a bit of an accident and she had broken an item, causing a mess. So, unlike her, she got out the vacuum cleaner to clear the mess but could not get it to work.

She told me the tale of how she kicked and cussed at the vacuum and ended up in tears of frustration. This was obviously when her son Trevor had been there watching her. She was so pleased he could tell her about the past events, and then to prove to her he was still around by relating the recent event was a great bonus for her.

There were lots of little things unique to Trevor and his Mum, which he mentioned during the reading. It was a good mixture of past and present, but he also gave her information about things she did not know. This perhaps proved to her it could not have been some sort of mind reading.

Trevor said to tell his wife, Ximi, about the dream catcher, and we both thought he meant an American Indian dream catcher charm. He said his watch was in the glove box and his mum knew nothing of this. Trevor wanted this to prove it to Ximi too.

Later, she contacted her son’s widow, who had by then moved out of the country. Ximi told his mum that after the crash and her subsequent discharge from hospital, she had gone to the pound to collect the personal items from the crashed car. They gave her a couple of things which had included Trevor’s watch. They told her they found it in the glove box. It had been a gift from his wife.

When asked about the Dreamcatcher, Ximi said: It was in fact Trevor’s favourite Stephen King novel, and they had been together to see the film of the same story, just prior to the car crash. The crash had happened when they were newly weds.

Both Mother and Daughter in Law found great comfort in the proof of life after death that Trevor had given them.  Many things have happened along their journey since then, which reinforces their belief that they will all be together again one day.

When a person takes their transition and passes to the higher side of life, they are going back home from whence they came.  They chose to come here so that their spirit could evolve.

When a child passes over, the same thing happens. They go back home to their spirit family and await the return home of their loved ones, who they have left here on this earth plane.

They leave their body here, as we all do. It is not needed in the spirit world. That’s why it is ‘spirit world’, because it is the home of spirits. Bodies are not required.

Therefore, the body of a baby does not grow after it has passed away.  Neither do the bodies of any of us. And, when the babies parents take their transition, the baby will be there to meet them and will look exactly the same as when they were last on earth. They will be reunited with a special bond.

It will matter not that the parents looks have changes as they have aged. The child will have watched over its parents and family and seen all the progress made. So there will be no surprises. Just the knowledge that they are united in their home in the Spirit World
