Spiritual music, not hymns and psalms.  By spiritual music I mean songs and music written for and inspired by the dead.  Usually the famous dead.

Grief can bring out the spiritual and artistic in many people.  Writing music and lyrics whilst in mourning for someone can bring out great compassion and emotion.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin spring to mind here.  I like their writing styles personally,  and sometimes the emotion and compassion which comes from their songs is over whelming.

Take first the song which was reworded for Princess Diana, upon her untimely death.  Bernie Taupin amended the words to fit the occasion and Elton sang ‘Goodbye England Rose’, at her funeral.  It was his one and only performance of that particular song.  He cannot bear to sing that particular version again.

‘Goodby Norma Jean’ was origainlly written about the passing of Marilyn Monroe.  The words were both spiritual and moving and the music added to the emotion.

You may not be aware of  ‘Empty Garden’, unless you are an Elton John fan, as it is on the ‘Jump Up’  album from the early 80s and was never made into a single. He does not usually sing it on stage, though he did sing it at Madison Square Garden as a tribute.

Empty Garden is about the death of John Lennon. He and EJ were friends.  The words and music are both full of emotion and compassion.  I can listen to it over and over without getting tired of it.  I find it very moving and very spiritual.

It is easy to think of BT and EJ as rock and roll hard guys.  Bernie is a poet and Elton a fantastic singer and entertainer.  Above all,  I think they are spiritual human beings. Full of compassion.

I truly hope that one day in the, hopefully  far distant future,  someone can do them both justice, by producing such a tribute as they have done for others.

This is a question I often get asked. How soon can a spirit communicate after passing over to the spirit world?   There is no straight answer but I will attempt to give you a good idea. 

It all depends upon how highly evolved a spirit is before they actually come to the earth plane.  As I have said before, we all come from the spirit world and choose to come here to the earth plane to learn lessons. The lessons we learn help our spirit to evolve.

Some spirits are far more highly evolved than others.  When the well developed spirits come to earth they know how to communicate. Therefore, when they pass and go back home to the spirit world, thye know all about communicating and can do so quite quickly.  This can sometimes be on the same day or the day after.

Those psirits who are less highly developed will find it more difficult to communicate with us here on the earth plane.  Some will be unable to do so.  These spirit entities will often allow another spirit loved one to communicate for them.

So you see, it is never to early to hope for a message from a dead loved one.  If they cannot do it themselves they may get help.  Never underestimate the spirits who love us. They will work hard to give us proof that their spirit has survived death.

Colour can be used in Spiritual healing.  It can also be used as a tool to send out absent healing.  This is something I do regularly, to send healing to all those on my website healing list.

As you will be aware, lots of people send in names to my website.  They are the names of friends and loved ones who are unwell or going through bereavement.  They are all in need of healing for one reason or another.  Most of us need it at sometime.

A good way to send out the absent healing is with colour,  Colours can have personal connotations.  I find that using blue for this purpose works just right.  Blue is a soothing, comforting colour.  The colour of the sky and the oceans. The oceans and the seas are the colour of life, since without water we are nothing.

Here is a simple way for you to send out your own absent healing, to help a loved one. 

Sit quietly in a meditative state.  This can be with or without music in the background.  Visualise your ‘patient’ lying on a bed in the centre of a room.  Send out a prayer asking spirit to help you.  Visualise a large cloud of soothing blue.  Send out the cloud to the patient.  Make the cloud envelop their entire body. 

Send out your most loving an healing thoughts whilst the patient is within the blue cloud.  You will instinctively know when it is time to stop.  At the end of your session it is good to send out a prayer of thanks.

I hope this helps you.  It is not only those with a certificate who can send out healing.  All you need is love!

It is a drama about three people trying to figure out what, if anything, exists after death.

Sometimes a person will tell me about a happening in their own home.  It is usually something that has had a great impression on them.  They see it maybe as supernatural or of an occult nature.

There are many reasons why people turn their interest to psychic matters or begin a spiritual search.  One of the main reasons, in my experience, is bereavement.

There is nothing more likely to  kindle a spiritual unfoldment than a grieving person, looking for the meaning of life after they lose a loved one.

This is exactly what brought me into it.  My Grandmother passed over to the spirit world leaving me saddened and shocked.  She was only 63 and my friends had grans and grandpas who were in their 70s and 80s.  Why my Gram?

My gram had an interest in all things of a psychic nature.  It intrigued her very much and she passed her interest along to me.

I started my search because I needed to get in touch with her.  It’s a bit ironic that gram was one of the latter people to contact me.  I was given lots of spirit messages at first, but they were about other people in the spirit world.  Some of them I knew and others, my mother used to fill in the blanks for as they were before my time, as they say!

Once I did start to get communication with her, via other mediums, she gave such wonderful evidence that there was no doubting life after death.  I believe it was her communications that helped me along my pathway and kept me on it.

Of course, there is no way I can summon her up, or any other spirit entity for that matter.  I have to wait for whoever wants to contact me, not the other way around.  There is no way you can call up a particular spirit, as they only contact us when they need to.

Those who tell you that they can get you whoever you want, are not being entirely truthful!

The need to consult a medium varies from person to person and time to time.  We are all different and so are our individual circumstances.

From my point of view, mediumship works best when proving life after death to those who are bereaved.  There will of course be the first consultation, when it is so important to find peace and know your loved ones are still around you.

If you have chosen your medium well, you will get proof that your loved one is still watching over you and that they know what is going on around you and your life.

You will have been given details of the departed loved one and their life, to prove that the communication is from them. They will have given lots of family information too.

With this in mind, you will be reassured and have a sense of still being able to communicate with your loved on, albeit through a third person.

Some of the details may have been about the loved one’s actual passing and things around them at the time. This will have given you proof of who it was communicating, but may not be information that you wish to hear regularly.

If you chose well, your reading will have left you without urgent need to see another medium for a while.  If the consultation was not good for you, you need to find another medium.

If you were happy with your reading, you may want to consult the same medium again.  My advice is to leave it at least three to six months before you make another appointment.

The main reason for this, is that you may expect the message to give you the same amount of proof you got before.  You may well be disappointed.  Proof of life after death cannot be given over and over without repetition.

There is always the instinct to think that the medium has remembered everything from your last reading.  They probably don’t, but if they do it will get in the way of another reading.  You may always judge your messgae with this in mind.

If you leave it for about 6 months, then it is most likely that your medium will not remember any of the details, as they probably see many other sitters too.  Also, your life will have moved on during this time and your loved one may have further aqdvice for you.

If you were perfectly happy with your reading, then it is really not worth going to another medium as you may end up disappointed.  Good luck with your search for proof!

You can contact a medium as soon as you like, but you may not be prepared for it immediately after the passing of a loved one.  You may need to give yourself time.  Be gentle with yourself!

It varies from person to person, the amount of time needed for grieving.  It is not everyone who can sit for a reading whilst they are still upset.  Some need a while.  You will know when you are ready.

The ‘dead’ person’s spirit will go home to the spirit world,  but will be able to communicate with the material plane when they are ready.  The time needed for them to prepare depends on just how evolved they were before their material life.

Some spirits are much more aware than others and will know how to communicate easily, but others may need a little help at first.

Sometimes a third ‘person’ assists them with the communication until they are ready to do it for themselves.  We know that not all spirits are as evolved as others, or as knowledgeable, from earlier communications.

It is known for another spirit entity to bring through a newly crossed over spirit with them.  They help to pass on the message to the medium’s sitter. You will know then that your loved one is safely over to the higher side of life.

This is strictly my belief and cannot be taken as fact. Others may have a different opinion.

A grieving parent asked me the above question about babies and here I will do my best to answer.

To understand what happens to miscarried babies, you have to have an understanding about the spirit world and our eternal connection with it.  It will also answer the questions about young children passing over too.

We all come from the spirit world.  It is our eternal home.  We are all spirit through and through.  Our aim as a spirit, is to evolve spiritually, and sometimes that means coming to live on the material plane to learn lessons not available to us in the spirit world.

It is us who choose to come here.  We have the will to do so.  We understand what it is we need to learn and that we may need a material life to learn it.  This is not about aliens or other world beings at all!  We are not ETs!  We are who we are, and that is humans, with an everlasting spirit.

We make the choice to come here and the setting and family into which we need to be born, so that our lessons can be learned.

Whilst here we not only learn the lessons ourselves, but also help in the lessons of our earth family and friends.  In fact all of those who we ever come into contact with.  We help each other in our spiritual task.  Even though we are unaware of it.

It may be that you need to learn how to be humble.  You may have already had a life where you suffered from being rich!!!  You may have been a monarch or other wealthy person.  You learned about that and now you need to learn the lessons of depravity and maybe starvation.  The Queen never has to learn to be humble (in this life).

You may lose a child at or before birth and wonder why this poor baby had to suffer so, and why you had to lose it and suffer the loss.  The child will have chosen it’s short span and you will have needed to learn something from it too.  However harsh it may seem now.  This may be a lesson that is hard to come to terms with, as mere mortals, but back in the spirit world you see the sense of it all.

It is not for us to remember our spiritual home whilst we are here on earth.  If we did it would all get in the way of our lessons and therefore our evolvement.  We have no memory of it whilst we are here, but at our passing it will all come back to us.

Our loved ones, including our babies will be there waiting to greet us and it will have all been worthwhile.  We will see each spirit in the same way we saw them here, in order for us to recognise them and feel safe with them.

It is quite wrong to say that a baby is now grown and big, long after its passing.  They do not continue to grow their earthly body after passing.  They cannot, as their body was left here, and is no longer a necessity.  The spirit grows and evolves though.  Still having the body though in the spirit world is a ridiculous assumption.

It worries some parents that if their child grows up in the spirit world then they will not recognise them when they meet again.  Why add to this fear by saying such nonsense?  The body cannot grow after death; only the spirit can!

Yes, you feel the loss.  Yes, it is traumatic.  Yes, it is natural to mourn the losses.  We are humans and feel the pain of death and bereavement. It is a hard time for us all. A time when we feel we will never get over our loss. The happiness comes back to us in our eternal home – the spirit world!  That is our gift.
