I am off on a trip to France and will not be able to continue my blog until mid August. I hope you will find lots of my previous articles helpful to you.

There are lots of subjects that you may not have read about. My website too has information about me and my work. There is the healing page and also my testimonial page. As well as some information about what I am doing and the events I will be working at.

Enjoy! And thank you for following me and my blog.

I  have a regular  ’Healing List’ on my website: www.barbarabiggin.com  A healing list is for those who wish to send out healing vibrations to loved ones who are ill or suffering.

People from all over the World send names of those loved ones in need of healing, to me via my website email. These names are listed on my site and there are  healers around the world who send out absent healing to them on a regular basis.  There have been very positive results in many cases.

Thoughts are living things and along with your prayers they are carried on the cosmos to where they are needed. It matters not if you are religious and if you are, it matters not where your religion takes you.

Suffice it to say that there is a higher source at work and healing is possible through prayer and kind healing thoughts. Even when a persons time on this earth plane is coming to an end, healing can help ease the pain and the suffering of passing. It can also help those left behind in their grief.

Names remain on my list even when the loved ones pass over to the brighter side of life, as I believe we can still give the Spirit, or soul, some healing vibrations to help with their transition to the higher side.

Please keep sending in the names of your loved ones, those on the list will continue to receive our love and support every day. Nothing ventured is nothing gained.

My plea to Healers everywhere is to join in our events and believe that everything is possible.

I have been asked if a medium knows when there is to be passing of a loved one.  The answer is a firm no, they cannot  tell you, because they do not know.  No one does. If they tell you they know,  then they are lying.  Only God and spirit know this. It is not for us to ever know.

You have to understand the whole process of coming onto the earth plane and living this life and why. Only then can you begin to realise why. Why anything?

We come here from the spirit world to live a material life, which helps our spirit to evolve. When we are born we lose our knowledge of any previous existence,  for the duration of our life time, before we go back home.  That is so that nothing interferes with the life we are living.  If we remembered the past life we had in the spirit world,  it would change our perception of things. It would change the way we live and make our decisions.

If we knew when our time was up, we would do things in our life much differently.  Things that we would not have done and that would affect our evolution. It is best for all that we do not know. Spirit intend it to be that way.

So, I ask you, why would spirit tell a medium when someone is going to pass over?  Why would a medium tell a sitter that a person is about to take their transition?  The medium is a liar. There is no two ways about it. It is so unethical and breaks every mediumship rule.

If you get a medium who gives you bad news, then get up and walk out. Tell others about the medium so that they get no more clients.

Please remember: Spirit come close to bring us joy and upliftment and to prove there is life after death. They do not communicate with us to distress us.

There was yet another programme this week on English TV about mediums and Spiritualism. As usual it was a very cynical view of us.  They seem to ignore the fact that we are part of a recognised religion.

I feel very strongly about this. So much so that I have sent in a complaint about it. As have many others. If you feel as strongly about it then please send in a complaint too.

The studio was full of cynics and the only mediums included were not even given a place in the studio. They were left to argue their cause via a video link. Hardly fair to begin with. But exactly what we have come to expect.

The main thing the BBC wanted to argue about was the fact that mediums often charge a fee for their services.  Why not? Mediums work hard for their churches. Mediums have to live and pay petrol money out to travel from church to church. They have to have their hair done and wear decent clothes.  Money doesn’t come from fresh air.

The medium charges for their time and for the hard work they put into it.  Mediums also spend years attending courses to develop our skills.   None of these are free.  I personally have spent nearly 30 years developing.  Going across the country to find good tutors to help me.

Yes we charge for some of our work, much the same as vicars, who get actual salaries.  Plumbers get paid for their time and skills. What is wrong with mediums recouping a small amount towards the cost of  long lasting training? Our training lasts far longer than a vicars and we don’t get wages whilst we do it.

As for our RELIGION – don’t get me started!  Spiritualism is a registered religion. Just the same as Catholicism. Just the same as Baptists.  Just the same as Islam.  Just the same as the Jewish faith.  Just the same as ‘Scientology’. We have divine services too. We have God in our churches. Why should we have to put up with this continual bias against us.

As for the BBC, they are supposed to be unbiased and fair. I see no evidence of this. Isn’t  it the ‘fairness’ that we pay our TV license for!

If you have strong feelings about this, I urge you to email the BBC and complain about the programme.  Or for further info you may email me.  Comments are welcome as always.

My title should remind you of my feelings on the difference between spirits coming close, and the images of a traumatic event trapped in time.  Those of you who read this blog regularly will know how I feel very strongly that these are indeed two different events.  The ghost replaying the same trauma over and again, draws the attention of the public, who seem to become aware of it at the same time of day or night on each occasion.

The spirits however, draw close to prove that there really is a continuation of the human consciousness and therefore, life after death.  The spirit will not only bring comfort but will bring advice and give a brief history of their earthly existence.  Some more than others of course. Mostly through a medium.

When we went to a ghost hunt at the Castle Market building, we experienced  no ghostly  happenings at all. But I was aware of spirit. Lots of them but only the mediums were aware of them. There were no visual sightings.

I am not dismayed or unhappy, as it is what I personally expected.  Others of our group were hoping to see ghosts and therefore they are probably a little miffed.  For me, being a spiritualist, I enjoyed the contact of spirit and would have enjoyed holding a spiritualist seance there, as I am sure we would have received greater proof of their existence, if we had.

Overall, it was a very interesting experience, during which we used table tilting and dowsing rods along with tape recorders, cameras and camcorders.  We often all picked up similar things along the way around the modern part of the building.  But for me, the best part was when we toured the very historical part of the building.

Apart from my spiritual and mediumistic interests, the history of the place really got to me, and I urge you to take a tour of the place yourselves.  Especially as the whole historic place may soon disappear, thanks to those concrete monsters which local builders put in their stead.

Please, don’t let this happen.  If enough people take an interest, the city council may decide to have a visitor centre and make the most of our heritage.  Meanwhile, a more in depth write up will be posted here tomorrow along with links to websites that have more information about this and other local sites.

You can learn how to develop your psychic ability without having to learn awareness of the spirit, if you prefer it that way. That is to say, you can become a psychic reader rather than a medium.

Lots of people are happy to do this as it involves less time and dedication than developing mediumship. Some novices do not feel they are ready for the awareness meditations. You may still decide at a later date that you want to carry on with your development and aim for mediumship.

Learning to open up your psychic centres is a requirement but you do not have to learn awareness through meditation for psychic purposes alone.

There are a lot of psychics who give private readings but their information is usually about the things are happening now as they don’t get it from spirit. They get it from yourself, your aura, and the vibrations around you. If you want to know what you already do then that is good for you.

Others may want to communicate with their loved ones in the spirit world. That’s when you need a medium. It is a mediums job to prove life after death. That is the whole point of it, to prove life is everlasting.  If a person cannot do that then they should not be on a church platform. It is only for mediums and not for psychics.

Sometimes it is hard to get your head around this if you aer new to this subject.  All I can say is keep an open mind and learn as much as you can along your journey.  Prove all things is a good mediums motto!

A message from a medium should always include proof of life after death. This is the essence of mediumship; without such proof a medium’s message is worthless. No one should stand on the spiritualist church platform unless they can prove life after death. It is their most important job.

When I have listened to some psychics at Spiritualist churches, I have been angered by the downright lack of evidence. It is as though they think they are on the platform to give entertainment, and that is not the point at all.  If we need a good laugh we go to the theatre or the cinema, not church. We go to Spiritualist churches for proof.

I cringe when I hear the speaker say ‘You have been a bit down lately.’ What does that mean exactly? You could say that to almost anyone at any time and it would probably be true.  There are lots of times for most of us when we are a bit down.  Then there is ‘You have had a lot of bills to pay,’ or ‘You know someone who is not very well’! All these statements are meaningless unless they come with some evidence from the Spirit World.

There are also quite a few mediums who frequent the platforms and halls in my area who can often be heard saying ’Someone here knows of someone who died in a motor bike accident.’ This seems quite dramatic at the time, but what are the odds of at least one person in any hall, at any given time, knowing of someone who did accident .  This seems quite dramatic at the time, but what are the odds of at least one person in any hall, at any given time, knowing of someone who did?

There is also one medium who, when they get a bit bored with the proceedings, will suddenly say, ‘Someone has just had a bill to pay for about £140 or £400 or something like that’.  For sure, someone in the room will put up their hand and say they just had a bill which could just about fit those figures.

Please use your intelligence and listen to the content of messages to help you sort the wheat from the chaff. If dramatics is what you want, then fair enough. If you are looking for proof that your loved ones are still around and watching over you, then be more discerning. Listen for the evidence that can only be from your own loved ones.

The phrase new age covers a wide range of things. Mediumship, psychics, Tarot cards, Reikki healing, Spirit healing, Crystals and much more. At new age stores you can buy anything from incense sticks to Ouija boards and angel cards to rune stones.

It seems to be one phrase to suit all. But it is easy to know where to look for information, albeit not very expert knowledge. So you are not sure to find out exactly what you want. They are a sort of jack of all trades. Good, but not experienced enough to be of value to a person who wishes to develop any of the classic new age gifts.

Classic gifts in this case means -  psychic gifts and mediumship  -  Rekki and Spiritual healing.  For these you need a tutor, teacher or practitioner. It is wisest to go to the best you can find. With all these subjects you need to tread carefully.  people who have little knowledge of the subject make bad teachers and would never make a good mentor.

Look through my blog and find out about the gifts you are interested in. Read all you can both on my blog and in good books.  Books though need to be recommended as a lot of them are full of rubbish unfortunately.

If you would like to know something which I can help you with, please email; me here at the contact link on this page.

Enjoy!

A couple of weeks ago I went along with a friend to a local church, having a very animated conversation along the journey. We talked about family and, in particular, about family members who lived away.

There were two speakers  on  this particular Saturday and neither seemed to be very experienced at their craft, but obviously tried their best. Part of what made it difficult for them was the fact that some who received messages were unwilling to let it be, and continued to try and take the messages that followed too.

It can be hard for a medium to break a link, but it is a must when there is a large room with a few people in who are “message grabbers.”  Unfortunately, there are a lot of message grabbers at church meetings, along with those who are desperate to hear from loved ones.

That said, one of the speakers gave me a message which was full of information about the subjects we had talked about during our journey there.  Names and places were mentioned, but also dates which linked with them. This is a good example of a psychic message rather than a mediumistic one. Information seemed to be gleaned from around our auras rather than from the spirit world.
