Spirits work very hard  to prove to us that they are still around us.  They wish to prove it to us so that we KNOW there IS life after physical death.  I am off to Canada today and wanted to share this with you as I we go off on our travels.

Whilst in Canada two years ago, I was having a conversation with a dear friend when suddenly we were joined by a very distinctive lady spirit. I described her to my friend,  right down to her clothes and manner, and my friend immediately brought out a photograph of the very same person I was describing. She said I was using her mannerisms too whilst I talked.

The lady Spirit was her Grandmother, who just happened to love cooking and she proceeded to give lots of information about her own life, as well as the past and present of my friends life. Offering advice and reassurance.  Looking around the kitchen as she did so.

When she was finished imparting all she needed to get across, she said she would bring proof to my friend that she was often near her, by doing something special whilst my friend used her stove. We wondered what it might be!  The stove was always a favourite place for the two.

We did not have long to wait, as the very next day my friend rang me, quite excited by an occurrence near her stove whilst she had been cooking. One item she wasn’t using was her olive oil pourer. It was in the corner of the kitchen counter,  when all of a sudden the spout shot out of the bottle and hurled itself across the kitchen, right to the other side of the apartment.

My friend was adamant that it could not have happened by its own accord. We believe it was her Grandmother bringing the proof she had promised. My friend was so comforted and indeed impressed!  I too was impressed and also surprised that it happened so soon after the reading.  Spirit always amaze me!

It goes to prove that we do not always have to wait for ages to get our loved ones proof of survival!  Keep searching and seeking and I am sure you will get your own proof.

Sand Reading:

Sand can be used to give a psychic reading. This involves having a tray of sand into which your sitter gently presses their hands, leaving behind their imprint. There are different ways in which you can use this method to read.

The first way is for the medium or psychic to hold their hands above the imprint and read the vibrations which emanate  from it.  A lot of evidence can be gleaned in this way.

The second way is for the medium to look carefully at the imprint and to clairvoyantly pick up the information.  This can work very well too.

The other way is to look at all the little marks made by the imprint and see what sort of images are in there.  Somewhat like a tea leaf reader.  Some patterns look like a house, or maybe a pram, and such.  It is surprising how many articles can be shown in a tray of disturbed sand.

Stones:  Not Runes

Stones can be used to give psychic readings.  They too have a vibration which can be read. It can be a mixture of the vibrations from the stone itself , or vibrations from the person who has been holding them.  Just holding onto stones for a short time will leave quite a lot of information for a reader to glean.  But if the person owns the stones you may well get much more information.

My own collection of stones contains ones from Canada, France and Wales,  as well as from here.  If you want to try reading them yourself then try collecting them whilst you are on holiday or on trips away.  You will soon get a nice assortment.   Enjoy!

I am proud to say this is my 400th post on psychic subjects at my blog.  I have really enjoyed writing them and I cannot begin to remember all the subjects I have written about without going back through my files to have a look.

There are many people out there who have little or no knowledge of the psychic or mediums world.  They do not understand what we are all about.  Mostly, when they do find one of us, they find we all talk some sort of gobbledygook.

It must be strange for the uninitiated to hear us talk about the proof of life after physical death.  Strange too for them to hear us talk about conversations with dead loved ones.

Lots of people only think about such things at, or just after, a bereavement.  Then maybe they wonder and shrug the idea off.  Or, maybe they wonder and decide to investigate and find out more.

Lets not leave them wanting!

My goal is to educate as many as possible so that more bereaved people can be helped by us.  As mediums our goal is to prove life after death to non believers.  My workshops and classes are all aimed at helping the novice medium give more proof.

That is what I am trying to do here. Educate and inform those who wish to learn more.  Those of you who are part of my world of mediums often find it difficult to find the information they need too.  Again, this is where I aim to help.

Discussion is a good format for informing people.  I hope that my post provoke discussion as well as inform and make people think.  I am always happy to receive email asking questions or requesting more on a particular subject.

I get email from people in various parts of the world, thanking me for certain bits of information they have found here or on my website.  They have Googled their question and found themselves at my blog. I find this wonderful.

So lets keep up the good work together. Please continue to keep in touch and to send your ideas for future topics.  I am easily contacted via the email link on this page or through my website.

Warm wishes to all!

The words used by mediums, psychics and Spiritualists, may sometimes seem odd to those who are not into psychic speak. Here are simple explanations of a few common terms we like to use.

Aura:The aura is an ethereal phenomenon, made up of colours and surrounds the body in a sort of egg shape.  Whilst the  average person does not see it, a psychic can learn how to see it with practice. The colours shimmer, pulsate and change according to how the body and mind is reacting to outside influences. Some mediums can also read auras. They can tell you a lot about what is going on in and around your life, by studying your aura and its colours. Objects too have auras.

Circle or Psychic Circle:A circle is made when a group of people get together to practise their psychic and mediumistic skills. A group often work best when sitting in a circle, as each person can be seen by all, making communication between each other much easier. Anyone can attend an open circle at a Spiritualist church; it is a good place to learn more about psychics and mediumship and improve ones abilities.

Clairaudience (clear hearing): Some mediums have the gift of hearing voices or words within the head, that cannot be heard by the psychically undeveloped person. Again, it can be used by the medium when developed to a high degree, in order to pass information on to a sitter, from the spirit entities and loved ones on the higher side of life. It can be a bit like being a switchboard operator.

Clairsentience (clear sensing): This is another psychic gift used by mediums. It allows the medium to sense or feel things, including pain and emotion,  which are communicated from loved ones in the spirit world.

Clairvoyance (clear seeing): The ability to see images, pictures, and even spirits with the third eye: a place in the centre of the brow that is invisible to the  naked eye. When the third eye is well developed the medium can utilise it to help give proof of life after death.

Development Circle: In a development circle you learn how to develop psychic awareness. Such circles are usually held at a Spiritualist church, but can  be held at a private home by an experienced medium. So, as long as you learn the rules of opening and closing, as explained later, the open circle can be  a good experience.

Life After Death:When we human beings die, our body is no longer needed, hence the need for burial or cremation, but our spirit or soul moves on to the  spirit world to carry on its intended existence. This process is often referred to as Transition, but in fact it is our life after this life. Once transition has taken place, the spirit carries on with its progression and evolvement to a higher spiritual plane.

Medium:A medium, is someone who has developed their own psychic ability to such a degree that they have become aware of an ability to communicate  with spirit entities and loved ones who have passed over to the spirit world. Mediumship is not an inherent gift, though it is possible to develop dormant  skills. This book will teach you how.

Private Sitting: If a person wishes to receive a one-to-one message from a medium, they can book a private sitting. This can of course be free of charge,  but most often there is a fee. We all have to live and finance our homes and offices, and mediums are no exception, so most have to charge. Not many  people will or are able, to work for nothing.

At such a private sitting, you would expect to be given proof of life after death. This would involve being given evidence from a loved one of yours who has passed to the higher side of life. Information not previously known to the medium. This should prove that your loved ones were here on the earth plane and are still watching over you even now.

Psychic: A psychic is someone who uses senses that the average person is unaware of. We all have these psychic senses which are invisible, but which  can be develop to a high degree with time and effort. Smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing, are all physical senses of which we are all aware because we see evidence of them all the time, and indeed take them for granted. Unless you are a Spiritualist, or mix with those who use the psychic senses, you are probably unaware of them.

Psychometry: A sitter gives you a personal item to hold in order for you to give information about the past of the object and its owner. All things hold vibrations or data which has been left on them over time. Pure silk is the only item I know of that holds no vibrations, hence the reason Tarot readers keep their cards wrapped in it.

The reader holds the item and lets their psychic centres take in as much information as possible. It is a bit like being a sponge and soaking up the vibrations and then relating them to the sitter.

Psychic Art:A psychic artist is someone who has the gift of being able to see a spirit entity and draw them, usually at the same time as giving clairvoyance.  Sometimes, a second medium is in attendance to add to the clairvoyance.

A famous Psychic Artist was the late Coral Polge, who was a well respected Spiritualist. Coral, did drawings which were said to be very accurate and  the clairvoyant proof she added made the sitting more than interesting.

Sitter: A sitter is someone who ‘sits’ with a medium or psychic, either in a circle or privately, in order to receive a ‘message’ or reading from them.

Spiritualist Closed Circle: A closed circle is just for those invited along, private. It is usually open only to church members.

Spiritualist Open Circle: An open circle is usually held at a Spiritualist Church. People sit in a circle with others who are hoping to communicate with  someone in the spirit world. You may get a message from an experienced person or from a novice. You could also go to such a circle to practise your  own newly developed psychic gifts.

Transition: Our ‘death’ is just a transitory phase from this life to the next, it is in fact a continuation of our existence. We have come from the spirit world, it is our home, and at our earthly death we return to the spirit world. Taking our transition is almost like passing through a door into another dimension.  Only a thought away.

Vibrations: Are what the psychic or medium ‘reads’ when you have a sitting. Such vibrations can contain information about you the sitter, and your life.

If there are others you wish to know about or ones you think I ought to add to this list then please email me at the contact link on this page.

As a Spiritualist, I believe we are all Spirit and that we all come from the Spirit World to live here on Earth. From the first moment of our conception, we are accompanied by our guardian angel.

This ‘spirit guide’ stays with us throughout our earthly existence and helps guide us through the cycles of learning which we have to undertake. The angel is usually referred to as a ‘guide’.

In life our lessons will keep coming around again and again until we deal with them properly. If we do not deal with a particular problem in the correct way, to solve it instead of muddle through it, then it will return again in some other form.

The cycle of life and lessons does not break until we have learned the lesson properly and can prevent the same thing from happening again. Our angel will try to inspire us to do the right thing. If we choose to ignore the inspiration of the guide, it is at our own folly. Cycles often repeat themselves as I am sure you have come to realise.

A typical example of this would be: you get into a financial mess by robbing Peter to pay Paul. Sooner or later, things catch up with you again and this time it is worse still. You borrow money to throw at the problem and it is just a waste as things get progressively worse. The same troubled money pot going around and around.

Eventually, the angels inspiration will get through to you and make you realise your habits must change. You finally take a long hard look at your budget and see that you have far too many out-goings that do not correlate to the in-comings. You are living beyond your means!!! You get a financial adviser to sort out your mess and explain to you the best way to go forward.

The cycle is broken at last. The lesson is learned by you. Your life is in better order now and you can concentrate on other lessons. Thank Spirit for your guardian angel. Without the Angle inspiration things would be much worse.

Your Guardian angel will help guide and inspire you throughout your life and finally, when your time on this planet is over, they will guide you back home to the Spirit World. Enjoy your journey and listen to your Guide’s inspiration.

Yesterday I gave a private reading using some of the new techniques I have learned.  It enabled me to get more accurate information for my sitter.

I am always amazed at just how much information the spirits can bring to help prove that their spirit/soul  is still in existence.

How wonderful to be described your granny and told what her character was like.  Where she lived and what her family got up to.

Add to this grannys description of what is going on around her family in the present time, and some reassurance about the things we are worrying about.  This seems like a big deal to me.

I wish someone had given me such information in the readings I was given 30 years ago.  Things have definitely moved onward and upward, for the betterment of mediumship.

We should all aspire to giving the very best that spirit can bring to our readings.

Now that I have learned new techniques at the mediums seminar, I will be putting them into practice in my spiritual work, both on platform and stage as well as in private readings and my teaching groups.

One of the things we talked about at the seminar is that the information to prove life after death, is there for us, as mediums, to access.  We just have to work harder to get more.

It is too easy to be lazy and get just enough information but we should all strive to get more proof for our sitters.  If you find yourself with a medium who is not giving you much in the way of proof, then you should ask for more.

Mediums should give descriptions and character as well as names and places.  If the names cannot be achieved, for whatever reason, then there should be clues given to point you in the right direction.

Spirits don’t come and waste their time by bringing little in the way of information about themselves.  They want and need to be recognised.  It is our job to help them do so.

So for the sake of spirit and sitter, if you are a medium, please try your very best to give lots of information to prove life exists after the death of the human body.

Hi, I am back from my trip and have had a wonderful time.  The mediums seminar was wonderful and has reinvigorated me in many ways.

There were lots of lovely people on the seminar from all over the world, not just Britain.  I met a lovley lady, Sandra,  from Vancouver, which I feel was meant to be, as we are going there ourselves  in just over a weeks time. She is very spiritual and is involved in the Vancouver spiritual scene.

There were 3 groups and the tutor of the advanced group, which I was in, was Tony Stockwell.  I had seen some of his work but had never met or worked with him before.  He was a revelation!

Tony made us really work hard, but he has such a wonderful way with him that he made it all pleasurable and not at all like work.  He has a lovely sense of humour and delighted us with his stories.

Tony’s mediumship is special and he passed on a lot of tips and new ways of working to us.  He made everyone realise that we cannot, as mediums, always get it right. We can only try our very best.

These seminars and workshops are a great way to improve your mediumship and improve your knowledge.  I recommend them to you all.

When I feel the need, I go onto Google and find out who is running them and let my intuition guide me to the right tutors.

Mavis Pittilla was to be the main tutor of the seminar, but as Mavis had  just had surgery, she was only able to join us for the last session.  Nevertheless, she was as wonderful as I have known her in my 27 years as a working medium. God bless her.

I look forward to working with them again in the future.  Other tutors were Janet Parker and Lynne.  I found Janet to be very nice but did not work with Lynne, although she did have good reviews from those in her beginners group.

A special mention should be made of Jean, who not only arranged the whole thing, but worked tirelessly to make sure it all ran smoothly.  Thankyou Jean.

Do try one of these events if you get the opportunity.

Psychic seminars, are usually workshops for working mediums.  They can last anything from a day or long weekend to a week.

Even mediums who have been working church platforms and giving private readings need to renew their energy.  We need to chill out and concentrate on our own development instead of that of others, for a change.

It matters not how long you have been developing, there is always more to do. A good medium is never satisfied.  It does us good to go back to basics for a while.

There is always another medium or teacher who can teach us something new. I am always open to new ideas.  I am also always keen to learn new techniques so that I can pass them on to my students.

It will come as no surprise to tell you that I am off to such an event today.  I will tell you all about it when I get back.  Have a great weekend wherever you are.

Like most tools employed by psychics in their quest of otherworldly information, crystal balls are used as focal points to help the reader concentrate on the subject.  It is not cheating or anything like that. It is merely a helpful tool for a psychic. It often brings good results.

There is no picture within the ball.  The picture is within the psychic’s head, or mind.

Crystal balls conjure up the image of a fortune teller, complete with headscarf and long shiny  earrings, in the minds of most people.  Fairgrounds and gypsies spring to the mind too. Gypsies I understand are particularly good with the crystal.  This may be because being psychic runs in their family and they have passed the art and the knowledge down the line.

Most of the modern day mediums do not use crystal balls.  It seems to be a lost art.  Although I do know a few who use it today.  It can be very theatrical. Or should I say that those who use it appear to be theatrical when using it.  Lots of hand and arm twirling and a mysterious gaze!  Whatever suits you!

In my experience the psychic will gaze into the ball and ask in their mind for information or vibrations. The information will appear in the psychics third eye, which is located in the centre of the brow, and is one of the psychic centres.

It is not a physical or tangible thing. Whilst the reader gazes into the ball it will appear as though the images are actually in there. Or that seems to be what the reader wants you to think.  When in fact it is like viewing images on a screen in your forehead.

I use many such tools - but not the crystal -  as focal points to help my students learn to concentrate on the psychic information which their guides bring to them. It also helps the reader to relax.  A relaxed reader picks up more information.

I personally enjoy using ribbons in a reading but that is all about colour.
