Mediumship and Beyond

No, not the Simon  & Garfunkel  hit single.  We are homeward bound.  We land back in England on Sunday.  This has been a wonderful vacation in a very sunny and cloudless Vancouver, Canada.

We have been staying with our eldest son Neil. The trip has been nonstop and has included a trip around the beautiful Canadian Rockies.  What a spiritual place this is. Heaven on Earth.  Almost every corner we have turned we have said wow!  There has to be a wonderful God to have created such a wonderful planet.

OK, yes there is evolution.  I don’t believe in the Adam and Eve story. I do think we must have been created at some point back in time but how, I cannot explain.  We have certainly all evolved, just like this planet.

For me it is all evolution. We come from the spirit world to earth. We learn and we evolve.  We go back to the spiritual home and we learn. And we evolve. Life is everlasting but ever changing. And ever awesome!

You have probably heard of cold reading, and this sadly is what some so called psychics do to make a living out of you.

Unfortunately, there are lots of fakes out there. As in all areas of life there are those who do not have the gift, but pretend to in order to show off.  Even worse, to cheat you out of your money. There are many who make money from the misery of others.

These are not spiritual people, and this is why you need to be careful about who you go to see for your reading.

Cold reading is one way some people work. Guesswork is not far behind it. Also, gossip can be used and embroidered upon to make up a supposed message, by some ignorant beings; those who should know better too. A true medium would never stoop to such levels, and it is here that the need to prove life after death is important. A cold reader cannot tell you anything that could prove life after death, or anything about loved ones in the spirit world. A true medium is needed to contact the spirit world and get real proof for you.

A cold reader is someone who studies your body language and facial expressions whilst they are speaking to you. They look at things like wedding bands or the lack of, and for signs that you may have stopped wearing a ring. They observe you to see if you are nervous when certain subjects are mentioned, and play on the subjects where you are more responsive. They will also most certainly ask you probing questions and do what I called ‘fishing’.

Unfortunately, even in a Spiritualist church, there can be cold readers, fakes, and the downright self-deluded.  Although church committees on the whole try hard to deter these people.

The moral is, only go to someone who has been recommended to you. That way you will know they are genuine, but you should still not offer any personal information in any event before the sitting/reading.  When at your reading answer only – yes, no, or I don’t know what you mean!

Believe me, there are those out there now who make a living from teaching others how to cold read.

A medium should prove life after death to you by giving not only names, but how they passed and what kind of character the person was.  Lots of other info should make a a snap shot of their life and yours.  A medium isn’t there to tell you that you should pay a bill or buy new shoes.  We all have those things to do.  That is no proof of anything alone.

A well respected medium is the only kind to go to for an honest reading.  Enjoy!

Have you tried communicating with your loved ones after they have gone on to the higher side of life?  It can seem a daunting task when you are so caught up in the sadness that such loss brings.

I know all you want to do is feel them, and hold them, and talk to them just as before.  You can, but in a different sense, and all it takes time and practice.  I can help guide you to develop your gifts so that it becomes almost second nature to you.

I am not suggesting you live in the past, that you replace the living with the dead, or that you should not move on in any way.  What I am suggesting is that you come to a realisation that we are all spirit and that as spirit we can all communicate with each other, albeit in a different way.

We came here from our home in the Spirit World to learn the lessons that only human life could teach us, in order to help our eternal evolution.  When our lessons are learned and our time is up, we go back home.

There is no beginning and no end to communication, or to life. It is eternal evolution!

I am sometimes asked about psychic headaches.  Not some weird kind of headache, just ones that mediums get from time to time when they have been tuning into spirit.

I have found that headaches often occur when novices sit for spirit and build up the power. The problem can be that they don’t then use the power they have built up. This can cause a headache.

My first realisation of this was when I first began to develop. I sat in a meditation group every week and built up the power. The problem was that I didn’t understand what I was doing.  As I did not realise I was in tune with spirit and that they were trying to communicate with me, I did not use up the power which had built.

Every week I went home with a terrible headache and my hubby would say that if going to church gave me headache I should stop going.  He did not understand, but then neither did I.

Once I began to understand what was happening, I was able to do something about it.  If it is happening to you there is something you can do too.

If you have not yet learned to communicate with spirit and don’t know how to use up the power, you can ask, at the end of your session, for any power which is left to be used for healing.  Here is exactly what I do at the end of any session, be it a workshop, class, or personal sitting.

Say a prayer of thanks and then say to spirit ‘May any power left in this room go out as healing to where you know it is needed the most’.

If you have someone whom you know needs the healing you can send it to them.  To do this:  visualise the person lying on a bed. Visualise a gorgeous cloud of blue healing power. Send this cloud to the person and let it envelop them. Stay a while in the state and then thank spirit before drawing away.

Psychic headache may sound weird but its not at all.  Use up the power and lose the headache. Or better still, make sure you use the power wisely and then you don’t get the headache.  Enjoy your work!

Spirit is everywhere. We are spirit.  Spirit is without and within.  You only have to look around at all the beauty and know the world is a spiritual place.

We don’t always behave in a spiritual manner sadly.But, we are human and here to live a human existence until we are recalled to our home in the Spirit World.  We have to learn to live this life so that we may evolve as a spirit and be able to move on.

The spirit world is not just our home, it is a place where we can learn and grow, just like here on the earth plane.  There may be reincarnatio and i believe there is, for those who want it or feel the need for it. But we only reincarnate if we choose to.  Many will just choose to evolve in the spirit world.

Our friends and our loved ones are there to greet us when we arrive back home but it would be a waste not to stay here and finish what we came for.  To evolve. To become more of a spiritual being.

Some lessons I am sure, can only be learned through an earthly existence.  It is a unique experience for us all.  Our guides, guardian angels and loved ones,  will help us both in the spirit world and here on this earth.  It is a united effort.

We can learn how to communicate with our loved both hee and in the psirit world and it is always going to be useful to us.  Try beginning your development here.  You will never regret it.  enjoy your life and make the most of it.

Just like me at the present time, many of us find ourselves abroad and unable to find a spiritualist church or centre.  We may be on vacation but that does not mean we don’t want to spend a while with like minded people.

Mediums work with spirit!  Mediums are like the piggy in the middle twixt the spirit and the sitter.  The medium links in with spirit and passes on the message to the seeker.  The go-between if you prefer.

We cannot, as mediums, demand who comes forward to work with us, but we can ask.  We ought not ask for a particular spirit as there may be others who are very keen to communicate who might not get through.

As mediums we should work really hard to get through as much information as possible to do the spirit world justice.  We should not settle for a simple sentence or two.  The more evidence the better as that is the only way to prove survival to non believers.

If you are a spirit worker you must set your sights high and never be satisfied.  Only then will you get communication worth the wait.  If the spirit that your sitter wants does not come through you may still get good proof from another loved one.  Don’t think for a minute that our spirit loved ones have nothing to do, but to roll around heaven all day!

In my last post I discussed meditating to find the spirit within.  It is a wonderful; way to relax and let go too.  We should all try it more often.  But meditation can also be used to meet your guardian angels and spirit guides.  They are a part of you too.

When you are developing your psychic ability and learning to use your mediumistic gifts, meditation is essential.  To get to know yourself and your guides, you meditate and go within.  You will find peace and you can ask for your guides to come forward and teach you.

Whilst in this peaceful state your guides can work with you and show you the way.  They may tell you how to communicate with them and also you can tell them how you need things to be within your special partnership.

On occasion, your angel guide may show you more about themselves. I have had guides show me where they used to live and what they used to do.  Essentially it is all about spirit communication.

The more practice you allow yourself to have, the more useful you will find it.  Try it for yourself.  Don’t expect wonders the first time.  Do persevere, it will be woth the work. Enjoy!

I am extremely lucky to be able to spend this time in Canada.  Where better to relax, chill out and find yourself.  Surrounded by the beautiful Canadian Rockies and amid all the wonderful wildlife, you realise just how close to Spirit you are.

But you do not have to be in British Columbia to find Spirit.  Spirit is everywhere both inside and out.  I am sure that wherever in the world you are you can find a place that is peaceful and beautiful.

My tip for today is to find such a place, even if it is your own backyard.  Sit and relax.  Go into a meditative state and find the spirit within.  Let yourself drift off to an even better place where your God is.

Take your troubles and your queries and put them before spirit.  Stay a while and maybe you wi;l get your answers.  If not then, you will surely be inspired with the answers as time elapses.

Remember that God, Spirit, is always within you. Your answers are there to be found.  so is peace and tranquility.  You just have to give yourself up to it.  It is up to you to find the time and space in your life.  spirit will always be there.
