Mediumship and Beyond

My own belief  is that we choose to come here from our home in the eternal spiritual world,  to learn particular lessons which will help us to progress on our eternal pathway.  So that our spirit may evolve.  We are spirit first and foremost.

In the spirit world,our home,  we choose our own parents for their particular knowledge and their particular set of circumstances, which we know will help in our evolution.  Circumstances in which we are allowed to grow spiritually. We come here to the earth plane to live out our earthly lives until our purpose is accomplished. Only then will we return home.

Whilst we are here, in fact before we arrive here, we lose all knowledge of where we came from, what we were, and what we did.  Prior knowledge, I believe, would get in the way of our progress and interfere with our evolution.

When we go back to the spirit world, upon our earthly death,  we are rewarded for the good deeds done in this earthly life and have to recompense for all the wrong deeds.  We atone for everything we did wrong.

Believing in an eternal life makes you think more about how you conduct yourself during this earthly existence.  If you know there is retribution for all wrong deeds then you will think twice, hopefully.  Personal responsibility is one of the Spiritualists  7 principles.

So many people in these days do not believe in God or have a faith. This means they think they have no one to answer to in the next life.  Mainly because they do not believe in an after life.  Spiritualism teaches about an eternal life not just an afterlife.  I believe we can come to the earth plane again if we choose to do so and if it will help us to progress and evolve.

At times of loss of a loved one, it is a good feeling to know that a developed sixth sense can help you feel close to them still.  Even though their physical body is no longer here, there is still the spirit to communicate with.

You may not be able to see them or hear them, although some can,  but you can learn to feel their presence.  A fragrance, or the sense of them around you at times of sorrow, is very comforting.

If you develop your latent psychic gifts,  you can help others, as well as yourself, to overcome the grief that loss of a loved one brings.  A little time spent on a regular basis will help you to use your sixth sense to such an extent that you may surprise yourself, as well as the others who you choose to help or practise your gifts on.

I have devised my own course,  dedicated to developing psychic gifts.  It is born from years of developing my own mediumistic gifts and using them to help others overcome their own grief.  It uses a combination of exercises and meditations.

A medium is a go-between.  A link between this world and the spirits in the afterlife. We cannot summon them up, but they can sometimes come close to us and pass on messages of comfort both directly and with the help of a medium.  Once you know how to tune in you may become aware of them yourself.  Some will always need the help of a medium.

Of course we are not all mediums.  We all have psychic abilities though. We are not all aware of them but they are there. We can learn to use our gifts to a good outcome.  There may well be more gifts that God has given us. Maybe over the coming years we will find out more.

When a psychic or medium tunes into a person and starts to give a message, it is often known as making a link.

When medium is working in a large room with many people, or in a church with lots of people, it can sometimes be difficult to place that link with the correct person.  Trial and error eventually lead the experienced medium to a preferred method.

There are of course,  many names which are familiar to us all.  We all know of people who passed to the spirit world with certain ailments. We all have a lot in common.  Loved ones and friends may well ahve had very commonly used names.

In a large group sitting, when a medium says there is a Fred calling his name, lots of people in the room could think it was their very own Fred.  There may be 5 or 6 hands go up in response.  If then the medium says this particular Fred passed over through a heart condition, the number of hands may be down to 2 or 3.  They may then say that this particular Fred was a postman.  This may be the clincher, the piece of the jigsaw puzzle that helps all the other pieces fit together.  The medium has found the message recipient.

The medium now knows who the message is for and the rest of the information coming in on that link can be given directly to that person.  This means that the person will get a personal message.

Mediums with lots of experience at working with large groups of sitters usually know who their link is with, and will not need to go through this procedure to whittle the numbers down.  Though there is nothing wrong with working this way.

The important thing here though is that a medium makes a link to the spirit world. Whilst the psychic makes a link to an earthly person.  So the psychic makes a link with a person in the room whilst the medium goes direct to spirit for their link.

It is not difficult to find a way to develop your sixth sense, if you so desire.  There are numerous ways you can go about it.  You may decide to go it alone and use a written course and CDs to help you, or you could join a group and sit with others of the same interest, in what is known as a development circle.

You don’t  have to become a Spiritualist to develop your psychic gifts. Religious people and Spiritualists are not the only ones granted these extra senses.  We all have them.  It’s deciding if you want to develop them that matters.

The sixth sense is a natural phenomena, not paranormal at all in my opinion.  Although it is seen as such.  I believe it is latent in us all.  A purely natural phenomena.  Some of us just don’t know we have yet.

Meditation is a good place to begin your development.  Learning to relax helps both the physical body and also to quieten the mind. You need a quiet mind in order to communicate with the ‘dead’.   My own method uses meditation.  It is used to help you tune in to spirit and to understand spirit.

Learning about the chakras will help you develop.  Chakras are the psychic centres which open up when you are using your sixth sense   and working with the spirit world. Each chakra corresponds to a particular colour and each colour has it’s own meaning. These colours are used when giving colour and ribbon readings.

I watched the Psychic Detectives on Sky TV yesterday evening.  It is the programme where three  psychics have a go at solving a mystery by using their psychic ability.

In this particular one, a man had disappeared and his family wanted closure has there had been no resolving of the mystery.  His body had never been found, although one of  his feet was eventually discovered.

The psychics appeared to work separately but as they spoke you got the impression that they had been together, at least some of the time, to discuss the case.

All three appeared to work differently but often came up with similar information.  There was a lot in common with the evidence.

The mother and sister were with one of the psychics and another of them had photographs.  The third one worked with a map and some equipment.

Since the person disappeared in 2000,  and the foot was later found, but there has not been anything else,  so you could safely assume, psychic or not, that he was now dead.

They came to the conclusion that the young man died in water and possibly drowned, though two of the psychics had sensed a blow to the back of the head.  Maybe he hit his head as he fell in? They didn’t think he was murdered.

Remarkably, this scant information put the family at ease.  They said they felt better knowing where he had ended up!  What do you think about this?  Would it satisfy you?

Sometimes when a client has lost a loved one they prefer me to go to their own home to give them a reading.

They need some proof that their loved one is still ‘alive’ in the spirit world and that they are still looking over them. They feel I will get closer to them if I visit their home. Sometimes I do get closer. I sit in the loved ones chair and tune in to their spirit. It is usually not long before they come through offering up memories to prove their existence.

Here is an example:

I remember one lady’s spirit bound husband came through and told me that no one else was allowed to sit in his chair. Not me and not then, and certainly not now. He insisted that he still sat there. And, his wife insisted it too. She often felt aware of his presence.

I felt his presence strongly and also sensed his fragrance. I described the scent to the lady and she knew just what I meant. Her hubby gave me lots of memories to share with her and also gave her some reassurances about difficulties she was having in the present time. The lady felt very comforted and settled after his visit. His name was unusual or at least uncommon, Oswald. He made fun of his name too.

The lady never let anyone sit there when he was alive and now he was gone to the higher side of life, she still felt it was his chair. Quite obviously so did he.

 It takes all sorts and different ways of tuning in sometimes. As long as I tune into the spirit world it all goes well. That’s what mediums are all about! Empty chairs can be a joy to ‘read’!

These names are listed on my site and there are hundreds of healers around the world who send out absent healing to them on a regular basis.  There have been very positive results in some cases. It is always worthwhile.

It matters not what the person is ailing from or what has made them ill.  We all deserve healing.  Even those of us who do not lead a caring life. The mind is often in need of healing too.  We should not judge. It is not our place to. 

Thoughts are living things and along with your prayers they are carried on the cosmos to where they are needed. It matters not if you are religious and if you are, it matters not where your religion takes you.

Suffice it to say that there is a higher source at work and healing is possible through prayer and kind healing thoughts. Even when a persons time on this earth plane is coming to an end, healing can help ease the pain and the suffering of passing.  Ease their journey to the spirit world and make them feel safe.

Please keep sending in the names and those on the list will continue to receive our love and support every day.

My plea to Healers everywhere is to join in our healing events and believe that everything is possible.

My belief is that the best mediums are not on TV at all. 

You don’t have to be on TV to prove you are a good medium either.  Those on TV have their shows edited in such a way that you cannot decide for yourself  if it is good or poor.  We don’t know if all the yes responses are left in and the no responses edited out.

The problem with TV is that the programmes are filmed and then cut down to fit a schedule.  Who knows what element is left on the cutting room floor.  It may depend upon the belief of the producer or editor.

Historically, mediums and spiritualists have had a raw deal when it comes to the media.  Maybe it is because there are so many fakes around that the producers feel they have to be  biased against us.  Trust is not there at all.  Therefore the medium can appear to come across as insincere.

Often, in  the past, spiritualists have been filmed and ridiculed.  This has been easy to do as mediumship is always experimental.  There are no guarantees that spirit will come through at a given time. Not even in a private sitting.  With the media it has to be done to a timetable, so mediums are up against it from the start.

Even at mediumship demonstrations in theatres, it is far from easy for both spirit and medium.  It cannot be done to order and sometimes when the medium stands up, there is nothing there.  If the medium has the courage they may stand and talk until spirit come through. This is not easy if the speaker is at all nervous. Most mediums are not naturally comedic, so telling jokes is not on either.

Last week there was a  ’ TV famous’  medium on the stage at the Sheffield City Hall.  She asked the audience to fill in cards on their way in so that she would have something to work from.  How unethical is that!  Mediums should tune in to spirit and not to details filled in on cards.

That was the start of a very big disappointment for those who were hoping for outstanding proof.  It was the second time in a few months that she had let the audience down. Last time, I am told, lots of people walked out and demanded their money back.  On the TV she apparently comes across as not bad. 

Maybe its down to what the audience want. Do they want entertainment or do they want life after death evidence?  It would seem to me that once commercialism takes over a spiritual event, all kudos goes out the window.

At the moment my time is partly taken up with ghostly events.  Not the sort of haunted evening type though.  More subtle, homely affairs.

My friend and I, we are both mediums, were invited to a home where there has been a lot of ghostly activity.  It was not the sort of thing where a headless woman walks through walls or anything gruesome.

We were told only scant information and decided our best course of action was to hold a seance (circle) and see what or who came through.  We are very practical about such things and not over dramatic as some are.  We believe in subtlety when working with earth bound spirits.  Not so much Ghost Whisperer as Ghost lipreader!!

We sat together in meditation and asked our guides to help us find out who was there.  We each had our own experiences.  We each gave our full descriptions of what we saw and heard, to the home owners.

These descriptions matched a lot of what the family had experienced and the names which came through were evidential too.  It did appear that those who were inhabiting the house were not related to the family.  Though they did not mean any harm and no bad vibes were felt at all.

The interesting thing was when I sat with my eyes closed, I felt a child blowing down on my face.  The home owner said that was exactly the place he sits when he gets the same sensation on his face too.  We both felt this was very childlike.

My friend saw a dog on the staircase.  She described it and again it was the same as had been seen by the owners.  Although the ghosts/spirits were not all connected, they were seemingly happy together and not intruding on the family life.

We are going to go back soon to try and find out more and see if there is anything they need our help with.  The family don’t feel threatened in any way.  We are sure that these are spirit communicators, and not naughty ghosts.

The Tarot is a set of cards which is used for divination purposes.  There are many readers of the Tarot in today’s world.  Mediumship is the communication between a medium and the spirit world.  Head to head and mind to mind.

The Tarot  readers I have experience of have usually been very good,  but the very best tarot reading I had was given to me by a medium.   This medium read the cards using his own meanings, not from a book.  As he talked about the meanings of the cards, which were to do with current life, he also tuned into the spirit world to give proof of life after death.  He also got clarification of his cards meanings from spirits.

This joint use of spirit and cards proved a good method and the reading was very accurate.

I have also had readings from readers who have learned from a book and used only book meanings.  This means that they gave the opinions of authors.  Authors are not always correct, they give their opinions from knowledge they have accumulated.

These book readers have never rung true to me and the readings have always been hogwash.  I prefer a medium who can do both the cards and mediumship.

Mediumship itself is aimed at providing life after death evidence.  The idea is to bring forward communication from a loved one in the spirit world, who will prove they have been here and lived within your family.  They tell you about your life now and offer advice and love.  They do not predict the future but may give you reassurances.

The difference between these two methods of reading is:

Once you have had your cards read, even if it was accurate, everything you do after it can alter any aspect of your life.  Would you really want to live your life by what a pack of cards says?

The loved one who comes through to give you proof and guidance has no ulterior motive.  They do not tell you what to do, rather give you advice and encouragement. Nothing you do after the reading can alter what they brought.

I used to read the tarot but decided it was far too ambiguous for me. I prefer the truth of spirit.  I never did use the book interpretations in my readings. I preferred to work with my spirit guide who inspired me to use the correct meaning for the message.

The cards are best used as focal points during a mediumistic reading.  As are many other objects including the crystal ball.  Try these for yourself and see how it goes.  I look forward to hearing your outcomes.
