There are various venues now, where you can attend a mediums demonstration. There are spiritualist churches all over the world now. There are certainly hundreds all over the UK. It is easy to obtain a list of churches by going to the SNU, Spiritualists National Union, website.
There are also lots of private halls, rooms and stages, where you can also see psychics and mediums strut their stuff. These are often staged by non spiritualists, but not always of course.
Is there a difference in the demonstrations? And if so, why?
I saw a particular medium recently on both church platform and stage hall. The medium is a highly respected long standing worker for spirit.
ON the church platform the medium was relaxed and comfortable. The communication flowed uninterrupted. The evidence of life after death was there for all to see and hear. There were links with lots of different people in the audience. The messages were all completely different.
The church platform is chaired and the meeting is led, but once the medium takes over it is all theirs. The medium takes control and thrives on the energy. It is great to behold when the medium is good. As in this case is was.
The stage hall, I found to be quite different. The audience are unsure whether or not to speak up and even more unsure of how to answer the medium. This leads to interrupted flow of communication. Therefore, in my opinion, the whole proof of life after death subject, leaves a little to be desired.
Most of the audience are not spiritualists and are not sure how it all works. They are there for the entertainment mostly. They are mainly hoping for a spot of fortune telling. They want to know about new boyfriends and new jobs. Spiritualists are usually not interested in hearing about that sort of trivia.
There are of course those who need proof of their spirit side loved ones. The family whose son was lost in a blast in Afganistan, whilst serving in the army, were looking for proof that hadn’t been in the papers or already aired in public.
For me it is the church platform where mediums excel. It is easy for anyone to go there, whatever religion, race or creed. It costs very little and is available to all. Churches are not in it for the money. The other avenue open is the private reader. Always seek a recommendation from a friend or loved one if looking for a private mediums consultation..
Never spend more than you can afford, choose where you go to see a medium. Good hunting.
