One of my favourite TV programmes is Medium.
Alison Dubois (Patricia Arquette) , attempts to balance family life with solving mysteries using her special gift. The dead send her visions of their deaths or other crimes while she sleeps.
Allison works in the Phoenix District Attorney’s office. She uses her psychic abilities to help crack criminal cases. Her dreams often give her clues to the whereabouts of missing people, and by touching someone she often gets to see beneath the facade into the person’s spirit.
Alison is a wife, and mother of three children, including a daughter who seems to be developing psychic powers.
My only reservation about this programme is that Patricia Arquette mumbles a lot, and therefore I miss some of the dialogue. It does not stop me watching, though I wish she would work on her diction.
Apparently this programme is based on a real life medium, who still works for the police. As in most TV programmes there is some poetic licence but it is mostly believable. I am sure you will soon get hooked on it. There have been some really gripping episodes.
