Well, this one does!

All the spiritualists I know celebrate Christmas.  After all it is a time for being kind to each other.  A time for thinking about others.  A time for sharing your love.  A time for peace on earth.  Why not celebrate it.

Spiritualism and Spiritulaists welcome and embraces all religions and creeds. All colours, shapes and sizes.  All belief systems.

As for Christians, lots of spiritualists began life as Christians.  Christianity is a way of life and it is the same way of life for Spiritulaists.  We try to prove all things.

As for Jesus, we believe in him too.  There is no reason not to.  We believe he was a great healer and medium.  He was a great peacemaker and selfless human being.  He taught people to give and to love.  Shouldn’t we all strive to be more like him in that respect.

At Christmas we should think about him and thank God for him.  Without his birthday, this time of year would be utterly miserable and maybe a little meaningless.  We should try to be a little like him and send out love to mankind.  Thoughts are living things and if we use thought to spread love and happiness maybe the world will benefit.

I respect all peoples religions, and am always interested in the views of others.

If you are a medium you will be familiar with experiments which are intended to test the theories of spirit communication.

I am always, along with friends, looking for new experiments to conduct.  We have just started a new experiment.  New to us that is.  We are siting to meditate and tune in to each other, but in our own homes at the same time.

To explain further: At a set time, I sit at home, alone.  My friend John, sits at home alone.  We tune in to each other by visualisation.  We go as deep into altered states as is possible for us at the time.

We ask our guides for communication for each other and wait to see what happens.

Directly after our allotted time, we each write down what we have received, felt, heard and seen.  We talk on the phone and read out our list to each other.

Some of the items on the lists are immediately understood but we will  have to wait for others to make sense.

This is not the same as remote viewing, although we do intend to give that a try too.  We will do this for a number of weeks and then analyse the information as a whole.  At times of need, as in the case for healing, if we are unwell, we will call each other to arrange a mutual sitting.

I will share the results of our experiments with you.  If you try the experiments yourself, will you let me know the results please by emailing me here.

Overall the seminar was excellent.  We had four days and evenings of psychic work and fun.  Not to mention the food!

Whilst we, in our group, continued to practice altered states, the other group worked on their mediumship.  They took turns in demonstrating their gifts and improving on their messages with the help and direction of the tutor.

One session where we were all together, we used a small table and encouraged it to move around the room.  This is table tilting.

The tutor made a link with a spirit and asked for the phenomena to occur.  Some of the group had trouble keeping up with the table as it seemingly danced around the room.

The best part of the weekend was that we, as a group, all shared the same interest and were all mediumistic.  This is why we had such good results.

The tutors also made the event special with their knowledge and willingness to share it.

Thank you to everyone who took part in making it a weekend to remember!

Trance was one of the subjects explored during our seminar, and everyone in the altered states group was given the opportunity to try it.

There were of course, some who were used to sitting for trance communication, but about half of the group had not sat before.  This was the ideal place for novices to work.

A few went into trance and their spirit guides came through and spoke to us.  It was philosophy which came through.

When the novices had a try it was to go into an altered state much deeper than they had been before.  The tutor was very experienced and knew how far to let each person go.  She gave lots of encouragement and helped with the technique of letting go.

For those of you who have not tried altered states, letting go is the hardest part of it.  That and letting go of oneself.  It is difficult, just the same as it is when working mediumistically, to keep your own mind out of the equation.

After the workshop, we were treated to a great trance demonstration by one of our tutors.  Some spirits came through and I personally received a message via the guide.  I really enjoyed it and found the message evidential.

More on Monday.  Have a nice weekend.

One of the exercises and experimental things we did on our mediums seminar, was to do with orbs, or globes.

Each of us took it in turns to sit at the front and go into an altered state of consciousness.  Depending on the experience each person had, some went deeper into it than others.

Later we all took turns to sit in a cabinet. This is like an open fronted box in which you sit to help harness the energy which builds up.

At the next workshop we used the computer equipment.  Cameras were connected to a screen and a  projector.  There was a hard drive connected too, and a laptop.

This time when we sat in the cabinet, we were filmed and the energy which built up showed on the screens.  We were treated to a display of orbs, flying around the room and hovering around the sitter.  Sometimes it resembled a snow storm, there were that many. The orbs were all different sizes and did not all move in unison.

There were some orbs which floated around on their own, again all different sizes.  Also you would get the odd pink, green, or yellow one.  Although most of them were white.  One big one floated up around the mediums head and hovered before leaving the cabinet and floating around the room.

We all found this experiment very interesting and I cannot wait to tell my friend John, as he is an avid researcher into orbs and their purpose!

More on our mediums seminar tomorrow.

Dec 2

Well, I enjoyed the seminar immensely.  It was all I expected and so much more.  We had a wonderfully spiritual four days and evenings.

There was a smallish group of 22 people, all of whom were mediumistic in some way and to some extent.  Some were more developed than others.  There were mediums, and healers.

We split into 2 groups and one group practiced their platform mediumship and the other group experienced altered states of consciousness.  The latter was the group I chose to be in.

Some of the weekend we had exercises where the whole 22 of us combined our skills and worked together, and we also had very useful and interesting lectures.

In my group we took it in turns to go into altered states and we also did experiments where orbs were created or appeared and we got them on film and live on screen.

The lecturers were very kind, caring ladies, who enjoyed passing on their expertise and experiences.  They taught us with patience and understanding.

Tomorrow I will go into the details of the event, telling you about the altered state experiments.
