Flower readings are popular at spiritualist churches. There is often a flower service taking place during the week but not usually on Sunday when it is a divine service.
Flower readings are considered an experiment, along with others such as psychometry, sand reading and also ribbons. These types are usually regarded as being psychic rather than spiritual. How this can differ is if the medium uses the items as a focal point whilst they tune into the spirit world.
Mediums usually have their own method of reading flowers. Some like to look at the stem and count any thorns or leaves. Putting their own meanings to them. They like to see if the stem is smooth or rough and usually count the petals and look at the general state of the flower.
Others use the flower as a psychometric tool, reading the vibrations put on to it by the holder of the flower. They may do this whilst awaiting any spirit communications.
All in all, flower services are very popular and are usually a good source of fund raising for the church. Do you enjoy going to flower services or do you read flowers yourself? Let us know!
