Sunday I went along with a friend to Worksop church in Nottinghamshire. We went to enjoy the Sunday Divine service and there was a medium taking the service.
I will not give the medium’s name as she was less than good, and maybe on another occasion she will be more than good.
The service was lovely, as is Worksop church. There is always a sense of peace, calm and love. The meetings are always very well run and there is no messing around as there is at some. There is always a sense of decorum and that could teach other church committees a thing or two.
Church is where you show reverence to God and to Spirit, as well as to each other. Respect for spirit is often taken far too lightly in my humble opinion. I would say Worksop church is a model example.
Sunday’s speaker was another matter. It seemed as though her prayer and very short talk were memorised and recited without pause. There seemed to be no thought although the words were ok. It just fell off the tongue rather too glibly.
The speaker said she worked very quickly and that was an understatement. She started her clairvoyance with speed and again it seemed fat too practised. Most speaker usually go to 6 or 7 members of the congregation during a service but she must have gone to about a dozen.
Quality is always better than quantity when trying to prove life after death. Six good messages are always better than a dozen poor ones.
All but one of the ‘speed reading’ recipients were given a baby in spirit. All but one were given a young man in spirit. And all but one were told, ‘There is a lady with you in the spirit world’!
There was no proof about the lady (x 11), as to what she looked like or any clue as to who she was. There was no information about the young man (x11). The only stipulation that was made about the baby was that some were told it may have been a miscarriage, and other told it could be a termination.
The medium did slow a little bit towards the end of the service, and her mediumship was then slightly better. It all sounded far too rehearsed and off pat for my liking. She did not prove spirit to me at all.
Maybe she is unaware that a mediums job on the church platform is to prove life after death.
