I have been asked if babies who die from miscarriage or abortion, have a spirit.  The answer is yes, they do have a spirit.  Just like all human beings.

Even though these little babies aren’t on the earth plane for long, they still have a spirit, which is there from before conception.  The fact they have such a short life makes no difference to the need for a spirit.  We all are spirits.

As I have talked about before, we are all spirit and we all come from the spirit world to this earth plane.  We are here for a set amount of time until our purpose is achieved.

The aim of coming here is to live a material life and learn whatever it is we need to learn to help us evolve in our spiritual home.

There are many lessons we cannot learn without coming to the material plane.  It is the only reason for coming here.  We make our own choice about the type of lessons we need to learn and are placed here accordingly.  Our material and spirit family all help each other to achieve their goals.

The baby is young but the spirit is not.  It has been evolving in the spirit realms for a long long time.

I am pleased to say that I am now enjoying the latest series of Ghost Whisperer.  As you may recall, I was unhappy with the way it seemed to be going.  Too O.T.T.  and too much science fiction.

The good thing is that things seemed to have settled back into a good form and are more realistic.  I know people don’t expect mediums to be realistic, but they are, really!!!  The series is more interesting when you can almost believe it is all real.

I am glad that Jim did not leave the series altogether, although he is supposed to be in Sam’s body.  This, of course, being in another person’s body , would just not happen. But hey, it is TV when all is said and done.  I am finding it entertaining.

I notice that Melinda is wearing more clothes now, well, at least they are covering more.  She seems more demure somehow.  Whats that about I wonder.

Most of the mediumship is realistic enough and the stories are more or less believable.  What do you think?

Colours are special, especially spiritual colours.  When you see colours that spirit is showing you, they all seem so much more intense and so much more colourful.

All mediums prefer to use their own meanings for each colour.  Sometimes they use the meanings for the colours in the aura,  red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

What I did when I first began working with colour, was to look at each one and see what I felt.  I seemed to get a special feeling with each colour and it seemed to mean something to me.  I began with just the 7 colours of the aura as I felt that was enough whilst I was learning.

With this in mind I went through every colour and decided what I felt it meant.  I then looked at different shades of every colour to see what I thought then.

I soon had my 7 meanings and the darker shades of those 7 seemed to me to mean the colour was of more importance when stronger and less important when paler.  So, I had my set of meanings.

Having tried them out on family and friends, I soon progressed to giving private readings using my ribbons.  I do add to them occasionally, but I never add patterned or sparkly ones, as this interferes with the colour choice, in my experience.  It then becomes too involved and it should be simple.

All this being said, I feel that white is a very childlike colour.  It means to me that someone is being childlike, or perhaps naive.  I always go with my feelings, clairsentience, to ensure I have it right.

So, if I were reading for you, and you chose a white flower, or if I saw a spirit give you a white flower, I would say that you were being naive in a situation.  I would then ask spirit for more information to elaborate so that you knew what I meant.

White may mean something totally different to you.  Only experience and experimentation will satisfy you.  Above all, enjoy the experience!

Maybe you are already aware of your psychic ability. You may have been experiencing feelings and thoughts that you cannot understand, or may have been picking up vibrations from objects you have handled. As with psychometry.

Perhaps when the phone rings, you nearly always know who is on the other end, even before they speak. Whatever it is that made you buy this book and gave you the desire to develop your gifts, welcome to your first taste of awareness.

Awareness is something you need to acknowledge first, in order to move on. Awareness means beginning to understand what your psychic senses are telling you, and the thoughts and feelings that you know are not self induced. The best way to learn awareness is by visualisation and later by meditation, but obviously there is a lot more to it than just that.

You need to become aware of the psychic centres you have and maybe didn’t realise you had. This is achieved by visualising the centres and learning how to open and close them. Once learned, this method of opening and closing can be personalised and varied to be used on every different psychic occasion. It will one day become an automatic event for you and one which will become easier and easier with practice.

Please do not let the thought of meditation and visualisation put you off because of a lack of experience. It is certainly a technique you can learn, and will become easy with practise. Just don’t expect too much from yourself at first, and as an old friend used to say, ‘Give yourself permission to be gentle with yourself’.

When I first began to develop, I could neither meditate nor visualise, and never thought I would be able to master the art, but I did, and so will you, with a little effort and a lot of faith in your self. Practice, practice, practice, is the motto.

What do the figures in your dreams look like?  Do they seem real or are they flat?  Is dreaming just like living, or is it like watching a film in your sleep?

Do your dreams make sense whilst you are dreaming, or do they only make sense after you awake?  Do your dreams seem to have a regular theme?

Can you interpret you own dreams and can you interpret the dreams of others?  Do you think that the meaning of your dreams is common sense?

Lots of questions here about dreaming.  We all seem to have differing views and answers but ask yourself these questions.  It may help you make sense of your own dreams.

My dreams usually have a common theme or at least a common thread, and I usually know exactly what the meaning is.  I even have recurring dreams which I have come to understand.  Usually, once I understand the meaning of the recurring dream, I seem to stop having it.  But, the themes still go on.

I always felt I was seeing the dreams just as though there was a film going on in my head whilst I was asleep.  The people all seemed real to me and the places and situations seemed just as if real life.

Something though has happened which makes me think again and reassess how I see it all.

In the middle of a very complicated dream, during which there were lots of people and friends and loved ones were involved, I became aware of a new facet.

Through the middle of it all came a face so real that I thought it was actually in front of me.  I realised that what I had been ‘watching’ did not look as real as I had previously though.  But, this face really was the face of someone I know.  It was in fact the face of a distant relative-in-law.

The face came up through the crowd in my dream and stopped right in front of my face before going back again, from whence it came.  I am half expecting to hear some news about the person I saw.  I cannot think of any other reason as to why I saw it.

I am used to seeing my dear departed loved ones in my dreams but this was entirely different.  When I see loved ones who have passed over to the higher side of life, in my dream, I truly believe they are with me again just for the moment.

Were spirit trying to tell me something?  Watch this space……………………..

Most spiritualist churches are usually short of money and therefore the committees have to be inventive about raising funds.  Quite often a Psychic Supper is held and mediums give their support free of charge to help.  This raises quite a bit for the coffers.

Sometimes there are ‘Specials’ held.  Specials meaning special services.  These are often ‘Evenings of Clairvoyance’ taken by a popular local medium.  There is often an Aurograph Artist, or a good Flower Reader.  Whatever the event, there is nearly always a full house as they are very popular, bothwith the regulars and newcomers too.

It is in this vain that Sheffield’s Whitham Road SNU church is holding a ‘Psychic Fair’ on Saturday 19th September, 11am until 4pm.  There will be demonstrations of mediumship, stalls, and quite a few ‘Readers’.  I am giving my services on the day and will be ‘Reading Ribbons and Colours’ .  So seek me out if you come.

If you are in the vicinity and would like to attend, I know you will be made welcome.  There will be refreshments, including tea and coffee.  Also, there will be lots of knowledgeable people around to put your questions to.

The event is held indoors so you don’t have to worry about the English Summer weather.  I hope to see you there!

When you have been to my development classes or followed my development teachings on line, or read one of my development books, you can be giving your own readings, or preparing to do so.

You will have learned about the difference between psychics and mediums and how they go about their work.  You will know how to open up your psychic centres and how to use your psychic senses. Colours will have a whole new meaning for you, and you will be able to understand the symbols that spirit give to you.

Church or home circles will be of interest to you, and you may decide to use both venues to practise your gifts. You may decide you prefer one venue in particular, and this may become your usual haunt for a while. Spirit will impress you to move on when it is time.

Do not forget there are many who do not share your beliefs. They, like you, are entitled to their opinions but you should not let others stop you from doing what comes naturally to you, and to thousands like you.

Always give 100 percent and you will always get 100 percent back. Be honest and truthful in your readings, but also mindful of how you express your communications, which may hurt or offend if care is not taken. Your ability to put things over in a positive and uplifting manner will improve with practice.

Always work with love in your heart and peace in your mind. Integrity should be your watchword. Leave your seeker feeling peaceful and uplifted by their experience with you. Give them food for thought, but do not insist they take it all at face value, it takes a while to digest readings.

Prove all things to yourself and to your sitters, by giving them the highest and the most sincere at all times.   Enjoy your experiences whilst proving life after death is a true fact.

I wish you good luck on your new pathway.

Psychic workshops are a great way to maximise your potential.  Whether it is a local one with a local medium, or one that you have to travel to, they are usually good.  Travelling often means overnight or weekend stays and these are brilliant for getting to know like minded people and learning new tips.  Also a good excuse for staying up and enjoying your skills.

I have spent years going to seminars and workshops.  Some have been at Stansted Hall for full weeks with the creme de la creme of tutors.  Others have been for long weekends at sea side resorts in nice hotels.  Some have been local.  I very much enjoy running my own workshops and getting everyone involved.

What is in common with all of these workshops, is the interesting people who attend them.  It never ceases to surprise me how many spiritualists have lots of strings to their bows.  There is always someone there who would like to try out their most recently learned skill on you, whether it be an holistic therapy, or a new method of psychic reading.  This is great for all of us.  Tutors and students alike.

At some of these events I have had my aura photographed, my writing analysed, my head massaged, my birth chart drawn up, to mention just a few.  Like wise, I have tried out my own therapies on other students.  I like to try out my Graphology, which seems to benefit from the fact I am also a medium.

Graphology is not a psychic subject, but I love it all the same.  It is a scientific skill.  What you learn from studying a person’s handwriting can tell you all about them.  It is like reading body language in a way, but much more detailed.

I studied for a long time to learn all about Graphology and do not take it lightly.  It is a serious subject.  It must also be taken seriously.  There are though, lighter exercises of a psychic nature, which you can have fun with.  Drawing and reading a person’s aura is one, in my opinion.  Mainly becuase I cannot draw for twopence. but I like to be the one to explain what all the colours mean.

If you would like more information about workshops, my own included, or if you would like to tell me about workshops or classes you have attended, then please email me as usual.

Its my development circle tomorrow evening.  It is still not too late to join if you would like to develop your sixth sense and psychic gifts.  Obviously you will need to be able to travel to Sheffield in Yorkshire!  But, that said, you will find a warm welcome from likeminded people, all eager to learn.

Last Tuesday we did some great meditation work and this week I am following it up by helping my students to get to know their spirit guides.

Once a person knows who their guide is, it becomes easier to have communication with them and to learn from them.  It is always a three sided communication.  The guide, the spirit loved one and the self.  When all three are in harmony communicating is clearer and special.

So, tomorrow evening we will be going through visualisation techniques and meditating with the guides and guardian angels.  I am sure we will all enjoy the experience.

Flower readings are popular at spiritualist churches.  There is often a flower service taking place during the week but not usually on Sunday when it is a divine service.

Flower readings are considered an experiment, along with others such as psychometry, sand reading and also ribbons.  These types are usually regarded as being psychic rather than spiritual.  How this can differ is if the medium uses the items as a focal point whilst they tune into the spirit world.

Mediums usually have their own method of reading flowers.  Some like to look at the stem and count any thorns or leaves.  Putting their own meanings to them.  They like to see if the stem is smooth or rough and usually count the petals and look at the general state of the flower.

Others use the flower as a psychometric tool, reading the vibrations put on to it by the holder of the flower.  They may do this whilst awaiting any spirit communications.

All in all, flower services are very popular and are usually a good source of fund raising for the church.  Do you enjoy going to flower services or do you read flowers yourself?  Let us know!
