Mediumship and Beyond

When you have decided to start developing your psychic gifts, you will need to know all about the chakras.

The chakras are the psychic centres which open up as you are developing. You can learn to see them psychically as well as psychically.  When you first begin you will need to visualise them whilst you are meditating until it becomes second nature to you.

When you sit for a psychic session, you should first of all close your eyes and go through the process of visualising each chakra with its respective colour.  You may visualise the chakras as flower buds opening up, maybe roses.  I used doors as I found it the easiest.  Some people use books.  Whatever you can visualise that can be opened, will work.  Whichever way you find easiest is best for you.

Use the chart I have added below.  It will help you to become familiar with the chakras and psychic centres,  making visualisation easier for you.  With practice you will soon find yourself opening up very quickly and wonder why you ever thought it a difficult task.

When you have finished your session you must close down the chakras.  It is the only way to be safe.  You should go through the visualisation process and this time close up the flower buds or the doors you have used.  You are then closed down and free from any interference by uninvited  or mischievous spirits.

You will find that through regular practice, you will be able to go through opening and closing  chakras as easily as opening and closing your eyes.  Whilst you are open you can practice your psychic gifts.   When you are closed down you should not try to work with your gifts or with spirit.

Chakras

I had an email from a lady who tells me she is hearing voices and wants to know if that makes her clairaudient.

If you are hearing voices, and what the voices are telling you makes sense, then it is likely you are clairaudient.  The voices most often are subjective, which means the voices seem to be inside the head, rather than outside as in normal conversation.  Though there are those physical mediums who hear it objectively.

Often the spiritual guide is the voice you will hear, but also you can often hear the voices of other spirits. 

My advice is for you to sit in a development circle to help develop your gift and to enable the voices to become clearer.  You can use the circle to communicate with your guide and ask them for their help.  It is often a two way communication and sometimes a three way communication.

Clairvoyants often hear as well as see, but there are a lot of mediums who just hear.  These are the clairaudients.  The gift is a great one to have as you can sometimes have real conversations with spirits, but not being able to see spirit when you are giving a message is a very different way of working.

We cannot choose our spiritual gifts but we can choose to make the most of them by developing to the highest standard you possibly can.  I wish you luck and offer my guidance and assistance as usual.

Here is another question which I have been asked by one of my readers. Is there a qualification for transfiguration?

First and foremost I will tell you what transfiguration is.  Even spiritualists who attend the churches regular do not seem to know what the gift entails.  I believe there is not enough explanation given at these sort of demonstrations.  We need to educate people.

Transfiguration is a gift developed by physical mediums.  Physical mediums have to be dedicated sitters for a long time in order to develop this type of gift.  They sit in what is known as Physical Circles.

The medium will be well developed with a high degree of psychic ability.  But no, they do not need, nor indeed do not get, a qualification. It is unneccessary.

When the medium is developed enough to produce ectoplasm, spirit can use it for their own purposes.  In the case of transfiguration, spirit use the ectoplasm to mould a mask of the communicating spirit’s face.  They then place this mask over the mediums own face whilst the medium is in a trance.

The effect is that the medium’s face looks exactly like the spirit did when on the earth plane.  It is the nearest thing to seeing the person again in life, and usually the spirit is intantly recognised by the sitter.

The only other gift that I feel is even better is Direct Voice.  We will have more on this in a later post.

You do not have to be clairvoyant to see auras.  We are all psychic, as I have said many times.  You can learn how to see the aura, everyone has this potential.

Just because you see auras does not necessarily mean you are clairvoyant either, but you may be. 

It is possible that when you first become aware of your own psychic ability, the first thing could be seeing auras.  It could just as well be an awareness of clairsentience, which is the sense of smell, touch and emotions.

If you start to see things and spirits or hear spirits and voices, then you are more than just psychic, you are mediumistic.

Not all mediums can see auras though.  Neither can all mediums see or hear spirits.  Even mediums are not gifted with it all. 

There is still the basic fact that we are all psychic and it is up to our own freewill whether we decide to develop it or not.  If we do decide to develop our psychic ability, any mediumistic abilities we have will come to the fore.

A good teacher and good steady progress is what is needed then.  Seek out the best you can and you will develop far better than if you go just anywhere to develop.  And, do not be in too much of a hurry.
