Many of you who are sitting for development experience lots of things whilst meditating, or whilst actually giving off communication.  Face tickling is just one of them.

When you are developing and sit meditating it is often referred to as ‘Sitting In The Power’.  It is also said that you are building up the power.  In fact, it is both.

As you meditate and ask spirit to come close and work with you, you begin to build up the energy which allows the sort of communication which you desire.  The communication with spirit and the spirit world.

You need to build up this power in order to become aware of your Guardian Angel or Spirit Guide.  Without this psychic energy, none of this would be possible.

If you sit time after time and build up the energy but do not know how to use it, it becomes a problem.  You will most likely end up with a very bad headache from building up the energy but not using it.  The energy has nowhere to go.  You need an outlet.

When you are sitting and building this energy you will often find that it feels as though all your face is being tickled or that your nose is itching.  I find that when certain guides are with me they seem to tickle my hair.  This can be useful if you are wanting to know who is present with you or which guide is working with you on a particular occasion.

You can test out this theory by asking your guide such things as ‘ is that you tickling my nose?’  It is a matter of elimination.  When it stops tickling, you know you have the correct source.

Trial and error will help you to work it out.  In the meantime, I suggest that at the end of each of your sessions, you ask for any energy you have built up to go out as healing where spirit know it is needed.  This way you will not be left with the headache or itchiness.

Let me know if you have any experiences of this nature and if indeed this advice helps you.

God Bless!

I have written previous posts on colours and colour readings. If you are interested in the subject it would be a good idea to look back at the earlier posts. You may find them helpful.

Colours can be used to give readings by mediums and by psychics, and can also be used as a focal point by a medium whilst he or she tunes into spirit.

As with all the colours, they each have a meaning and a place, but they also can have subject areas and not all these are material in nature.

I personally see purples and lilacs, lavenders and mauve spiritual colours and a reading with these in the sitter’s choice of colours would lead me to give a spiritual meaning to the whole reading.

The red energy would becaome spiritual energy rather than the practical energy and the yellow would be to do with spiritual learning. I would base each colour in like manner.

Whilst doing this with the colours I would then start to receive from the spirit who had inspired my sitter to choose the colours in the first place.  Therefore, the colours reading would tell you a lot spiritually!

God Bless till next time!

Some of my readers have been asking the above question. They want to know how they can tell if they really are clairvoyant or clairaudient.

A clairvoyant sees images and sometime times they see spirits. A clairaudient hears voices and sounds. A clairsentient feels and senses emotions and pains and they also smell odours, both nice and not so nice.

Some clairvoyants get a mixture of senses. I myself hear, see and feel, which is very useful. I am a spiritualist medium and refer to myself as being clairvoyant.

Psychics can be clairvoyant, but they only see everyday images and do not see spirits.

Some associate being clairvoyant with fortune telling. Fortune tellers may well be clairvoyant, but I do not personally believe anyone can tell you the future, as we all have free will and can change the course of our own lives in an instant.

Mediums get their images and voices via the spirit world and they use the gift to give comfort to the bereaved and upliftment to help them cope with their lives. Proving life after death is a fact helps those who are mourning a loved one.

If you are seeing images or people, or you are getting any of the events mentioned above, then you should seek help to develop your newly recognised gift. You may have had the gift a long time but only just become aware of it.

If I can advise you further then please email me. Enjoy your God given gifts!

Did you realise that there was a difference between being mediumistic and being plain psychic? Well, yes there is a difference. A medium’s work involves communicating with spirit and a psychic works only with human vibrations.

Psychic awareness must be developed in order to be able to communicate with spirits. All of us are psychic to some degree, though it is true to say that you can be psychic without being mediumistic.

To be a good medium, your psychic gifts must be well developed and the ability to tune in to the spirit entities must be there. Not everyone has this gift and if you do have it, it takes years to develop properly.

Dedication is most important. It is not a game, nor indeed, entertainment. It is not a way to get rich quick, or in fact get rich at all. If you wish to make big money then this is probably not the life for you.

When you have developed your psychic gifts it will become apparent if you are also mediumistic. You will then need to nurture your mediumship and if you are worthy and dedicated it will show in the work you do. I trust this gives you a better understanding.

If you have any more queries about this subject, I am always happy to respond to your emails.

There is a lot of interest being shown in colour readings and colours in general.  I am asked questions on a regular basis and therefore I like to write articles about the subject to please my readers.

Today I want to discuss colours and how the meanings are found in order to be able to give readings using ribbons or other colourful items.

When you first begin you need to buy a bunch of plain coloured ribbons.  Pretty flowers and patterns are counter productive as the pattern gets in the way of the meaning of the colour.  So, just buy plain colours but different shades of each colour are a good investment for when you are ready to move on.

Meanings for colours are very personal it seems.  When you say green means peace, for example, there is always someone who says, green means hope!  I say blue is a healing colour and someone else may say blue means peace!

The best way for you to get a meaning for your colours is to sit and meditate with the ribbons in your hand.  Ask your guide for guidance and inspiration and see what happens.  You could go through them one by one and see what you feel about them.

Look at the blue and ask yourself if you find this to be a healing colour, or a peaceful colour.  Do you find yellow to mean brightness, or does yellow signify the mind and does the brightness mean learning.

Red is energy and can denote the use of energy.  do you feel it is good  use of energy or negative.

Start with the seven colours of the chakras or the seven colours of the rainbow and work through them.  You will soon be inspired by your guide or guardian angel as to what meaning is best for you personally.

As always, when giving a reading it is always the readers meaning which applies, not anyone else’s.  Enjoy!!

Psychometrythe supposed ability to discover facts about an event or person from inanimate objects associated with them. Oxford English Dictionary.

Psychometry must not be confused with psychometric testing, which some companies use in their recruitment process.  Psychometry is a psychic thing!

Many psychics and mediums use this particular method of divination, especially when giving a private reading.  It is often a very interesting, and yet relatively easy way, to glean information, but it does have its drawbacks.

If the item you are given to psychometerise once belonged to someone else,  you may find the vibrations of the earlier owner are still on it.  This could lead to a lot of negative responses from the sitter.  They may well not know anything about the earlier owner’s life.

Of course it may work well if you take a recently passed loved one’s watch or jewelry, or other possession.  You may want the medium to tell you something about them.  In this case you would know about the person’s life and will therefore recognise the message.

The psychic or medium takes hold of an item, any item will do except something made of pure silk.  Silk being the one thing we know of that does not hold onto vibrations.

Preferably the item will have had just the one owner.  The medium then tunes in their sixth sense to the vibrations held on the item. This may sound weird and spooky but it is a very simple and straight forward thing for a medium to do.

Every object holds vibrations and all the vibrations give off energy which is full of information.  The information gleaned from it may be about the owner of the item or about the history of the piece or, an amalgamation of both.

Psychometry is sometimes used whilst the medium adjusts to the person for whom they are giving the reading. Basically this means whilst they tune in.  Especially if they are giving several readings in succession.  It gives a breathing space in which to adjust the level of consciousness.

Flowers or foliage are often used for psychometric purposes. It is always best when giving a flower reading to ask that the sitter picks the flower themselves and lets no one else touch it.  The flower will then only hold the vibrations of the owner.  Don’t buy a flower from a florist or you may end up getting the florist’s reading!

A really good reading using psychometry would begin with the reading of vibrations from an object or flower and continue into a a mediumistic reading, when the medium has settled down and tuned into the spirits.  When the spirit communication begins to flow, the object is no longer needed.

Flower services are sometimes held at churches but not on Sunday, when it is a Divine service.

I always get the feeling that whenever TV companies allow mediums to appear on screen, it always seems like they are on trial.  There is always a sense of bias towards them.  Quite rightly so in some cases but not in all by any means.

To begin with, mediumship is always an experiment, as it is impossible to summon up a particular spirit at will. I know that some mediums in the past have made it sound as though they could summon up anyone from Elvis, to Diana Dors, to JFK. They cannot.  It is not possible.

Spirits belong in the Spirit World and only make contact with us when there is a mutual need. This being only when there is a special link between the spirit and the sitter. You cannot ask a medium to call up Elvis and expect him to appear, though that would make great TV, would it not?  All Elvis fans would be in line.

A medium asks the spirit world if there is anyone who wishes to make themselves known to the sitter.  It is only then that communication can take place.  They don’t ask ‘Can you send us Elvis’ or Princess Diana.

On TV programmes I always squirm in my seat whilst the psychic on screen tries to convince the presenter and the audience that they have a spiritual gift.  Often it will be a psychic who asks the sitter or questioner ‘Who do you want to speak to?’ and then goes on to say ‘I have them here and they are ok.’ Where is the proof in that?  It is even worse when the psychic seems to be taken over by a spirit. Am I the only medium to find it very embarrassing?  This cannot happen.

What I find most offensive is that at least one of the current TV mediums have appeared in the past, to be dishonest in their actions.

The way I understand it, as told to me by several mediums present at a seance at which he was the ‘trance medium’,  that  the medium in question was found with the tools of his trade in his hands when the lights  mysteriously turned on.

There were supposed to be keyboards playing and objects flying around the room, in the dark, whilst the medium was supposed to be tied to his chair.  When the lights suddenly came on, the man was found with his ties undone and it was he himself holding the objects and making it appear they were floating around.

He made a swift exit when found and all sitters were given their money back.  The Psychic News ran an article about it and for a while he did not appear to be working at Stansted Hall.  Now he is on TV it all seems forgotten and he is back doing the rounds again, albeit doing mental mediumship and not, as far as I know, ‘physical’ stuff.

As always, use your own intelligence and if it is too much or too ridiculous to beleive, then don’t believe.

The Christian Church was actually founded on spirit communication and phenomena that could be described as mediumship.

Throughout the bible there are many examples of spiritual events, with men speaking in strange languages, or tongues as it was known. There were spirit voices, and angel messengers foretelling the coming of prophets and seers.

Many Spiritualists believed then and now, that Jesus was a brilliant medium and was described as having great healing powers. Jesus was known for his inspired teachings, transfiguration, and many ‘miracles’ that occurred in his presence.  Jesus brought the dead back to life in the Bible!

After he died, Jesus was both seen and heard by his disciples, and mediumship seemed to play an important part in the spreading of the new Christian religion.

But, in the 4th century, Christian leaders decided that the use of psychic and mediumship abilities was wrong for mere mortals, and were only to be performed by the Christian priests.

Anyone else who demonstrated spiritual abilities were denounced as ‘false prophets’, evil sorcerers and heretics and were punished.

In 1484 the Pope strongly denounced mediums. The Church also sanctioned the publication of a book entitled ‘Hammer of the Witches,’ which described all people who communicated with spirits as witches, and stated that they should be severely punished.

After this, there was a long period of persecution where any persons suspected of using psychic abilities were sent to trial prior to torture and execution.

During those days thousands of mediums were put to death by the church witch-hunters.

Thankfully we mediums no longer have to suffer in this manner, but we are still scorned and ridiculed by some. There are various elements of the Christian movement who still like to heckle at Spiritualist meetings even in the 21st century.

We are now covered by the trading standards rules and laws, and some like to forget that we are in fact a religion, not just a bit of entertainment.  We Spiritualists have to keep strong and rise above it all, whilst proving to others that there is life after death for all, no matter what religion!

Spiritualism is a registered religion which gives you an understanding of God and encourages you to care for your fellow man. Spiritualism  encourages spiritual growth and prepares us for our eternal existence.

Spiritualism is also a science, because it is based upon proven facts that can be demonstrated and scientifically proven. Spiritualism is the science of life and  as such, encourages us to seek the truth in every realm of existence, both in nature and in human psychology.

Spiritualism is a philosophy that tries to understand people.  As Spirit is the moving force of the Universe, so Spiritualist philosophy embraces the whole of nature.

When it became clear that certain people were naturally mediumistic, and the new forms of communication brought forth extremely accurate and detailed information to be communicated.

Spiritual phenomena flowed from the many Spiritualist groups, which provided personal evidence confirming the existence of a spirit world and spirit entities that could communicate with those still here on earth.

In just a few short years many groups of Spiritualists began to form in America, in their endeavours to seek psychic phenomena and to consider the religious implications which lay behind the teaching received from spirit.

I trust this gives you an understanding of where Spiritulaism began.  For more information on this item you can look on the SNU website which is full of formal education.  http://www.snu.org.uk/
