Did anyone watch the programme last night on NDEs (near death experiences)? It was on the Sky channel Paranormal. I watched it with interest as it is a subject I am keen on.
There did seem to be a mixture of modern and much older interviews, some going back years; its not a newly communicated phenomena.
There were quite a few who told of the wondeful warm and comforting experience that we have become familiar with. Doctors and scientists were giving factual comment and scientific explanations for NDEs.
People who had this experience were forever changed: they no longer feared death and lived their lives in a different manner because of the NDE.
What surprised me was that there were those whose NDE was a sinister one. One person saw horrible macabre heads and ugly characters, who proceeded to make holes in the person’s body and stick things in. There were images of ghouls and maggots etc. Not nice at all.
The lady who had experienced the above, was someone who had tried to take her own life by shooting herself in the neck. She did however survive the incident.
I wonder, does it have implications for those who take their own lives or was this just a random event? Apparently there are many who have had sinister NDEs.
This begs the question: does the type of experience you have at death (and also the NDE) depend on how you die? I am keen for further investigation into this subject and would welcome any input from my readers.
