This is the most awesome place I have ever visited. It is a wonderful place, modelled on the temple of the Forbidden City in China.
Although it is only a short drive from Downtown Vancouver it is a world away from anything I ever experienced. If you want to see it for yourself but cannot go there, there is a website devoted to it.

This link will tell you what you want to know about it and also give you a vitual tour. My wish for you is that some day you will be able to experience it for yourself.
From the moment my family and me arrived at the Temple we were struck by the peace and tranquility. The gardens and the buildings are exquisite. People from all religions and all walks of life were visiting and all seemed to be at home there.
There were people burning incense sticks and placing them at the specific Budda for their particular need. There were also offerings being made to the Buddas. These were often fruit and food, as well as flowers.
Giant pillars and long walls were dedicated to loved ones who have passed to a higher existence. Their photos, dates of birth, and passings marked forever in this place of serenity. A place where loved ones can forever visit the shrine to their dearly departed and burn incense for them.
I now intend to find out more about Buddhism for my own benefit. I welcome any comments you have on this subject and hope you enjoy the Temples website.
